Let dad carry it!
Platinum Blend - when I opened the box of fragrances, the name conjured up unpleasant associations and I feared an olfactory equivalent of the nouveau riche Proll. (Pardon me.)
But it wasn't to be like that.
In my opinion, the fragrance opens with a note reminiscent of gingerbread and lavender. Platinum Blend starts with a pleasant sweetness and my first association is "old school" (which I mean in a positive way). This sweetness intensifies in the heart, heliotrope and tonka are clearly perceptible. The fragrance also has a fascinating duality: on the one hand, it has a certain coolness that should not be confused with aloofness. On the other hand, the aforementioned sweetness also lends it something cuddly, no, a certain vulnerability. It's definitely interesting, the nose wants to return to the wrist. Although the top and heart notes are already very promising, I like the base even better - but that's (also) because labdanum is one of my favorite resins and it's hard to go wrong with sandalwood (for me).
So, now comes my objection: I think Platinum Blend is a successful composition - but I see it more on a man. To be precise, a "homme d'un certain âge". So, a hearty "Hands off!" to all young dynamos of the sports water type. Let the dad wear it!
