White Roses Burn in Hell
Hello you scent enthusiasts, how are you? In these times, I really hope you are all doing well! Take good care of yourselves and stay away from foolish people who still see a great conspiracy in everything :D
Anyway, today we’re talking about White Rose de Alix by Atkinsons. So… are there actually white roses? I really have no idea, but it could very well be possible since roses surely come in all sorts of colors, right? Let’s check Wikipedia: Ah yes, there it is. The White Rose was a resistance group against the Nazis… hmm, I think that’s the wrong entry… :D
However, other sites mention something about a white rose, especially what it stands for: namely innocence, purity, and sweetness. So everything that doesn’t apply to you LADIES at all, since you are all devilish monsters and hopefully will burn in the deepest levels of hell, mu ha ha ha :DDD Oh dear, I think I’m slowly becoming villainously insane… :D
So… let’s get started and see how the scent smells, or rather, let’s smell it better :) And I really hope that the individual roses in various colors don’t have different scents as well, after all, I can only identify a cucumber perfectly among flowers… but wait, cucumbers aren’t even flowers… but at least they are still plants, mu ha ha ha, that’s something! :D :D
For a brief moment, a rather stuffy, floral note appears, which disappears quickly but gives me the feeling that it might return later, but let’s wait and see.
Later, it mainly smells of roses, which now have a more sour scent. A slight stuffiness seems to actually return, but it’s still okay; luckily, it doesn’t intensify in the base. The fruity scents have faded, and instead, it smells more of sweet jasmine and musk.
Even later, I still smell roses, which still have a rather sour scent and partially cover the sweet notes again. Therefore, vanilla (and also musk) takes a bit longer to finally appear, so that this scent ultimately fades lightly floral and slightly sweet.
It basically smells to me like an all-rounder, a scent that can be used well in any season. It could work for going out, but I would use it more during the day, in the office or something like that. Because despite the nice scent, I must say that the scent is also a bit unremarkable and some might even find it boring because it ultimately resembles many rose scents and hardly stands out from the others.
And as for white roses themselves: Well, I have no idea if they smell that special, but for me, everything just comes across as “typical roses,” as I mentioned earlier, but maybe I’m just the biggest botany novice of all time who can’t tell a banana from a flower and therefore knows nothing… :D
Anyway, that’s it for today. I wish you all a lovely evening, see you later :)

The Scent:
Upon spraying, I immediately get a whiff of rose and raspberry, which smell good. And the roses smell just like general roses, the color doesn’t seem to have a big influence on the scent, but I still guarantee nothing! :DFor a brief moment, a rather stuffy, floral note appears, which disappears quickly but gives me the feeling that it might return later, but let’s wait and see.

The Sillage and Longevity:
The sillage is moderate, so the scent will be noticeable without having to be too close. The longevity is quite good, lasting over eight to ten hours, which is certainly also thanks to the vanilla at the end. The Bottle:
The bottle looks typically Atkinsons like a flask and is indeed flat, but has been designed quite elegantly. On the front, there is a small cutout in the middle for the round label. The gold-plated cap is trapezoidal and patterned. A beautiful bottle. Conclusion:
So, I actually liked this Atkinsons quite a bit. The thing is, I personally don’t really like such strong roses. A subtle rose is okay, but I think there are prettier scents with roses. Nevertheless, the scent is certainly not bad and definitely worth a test, especially since it doesn’t just smell like roses, but also like musk, vanilla, and a bit of resins.
