How can anyone hate Star Wars, uh… I meant, this is a nice fig scent!!
Hello you sniffers! How are you all doing this evening? I hope everything is good :)
Anyway, I'm back with a new fragrance comment. Maybe some of you thought that I would finally (??) publish fewer comments here, since everything was closed everywhere until recently (and now everything is open again and infections could start again if people become careless, so be careful, okay?!...), so I couldn't stick my nose into fragrances in any store, right? Or that I would perhaps sniff less due to the risk of infection?
Ha ha, not at all! I actually received a letter from dear Flaconesse asking me to write a few words about some of these fragrances, and well, despite the fact that Flaconesse absolutely HATES Star Wars (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!), I'm doing her the favor of sharing my opinion on a few fragrances… do you see how nice I am? Arrrgh… :D
Well, I also got to choose a few fragrances, and among others, I chose this… of course… fig scent. You know I really like figs, and if the fragrance is well done, then even better (which, to be honest, is rather rare, as most fig scents unfortunately smell quite stuffy…). So, here I am testing 1902 - Figue Blanche by Berdoues. And since I know quite a few nice fragrances from Berdoues, my hopes are accordingly high that this fig scent could be among the nicely crafted ones, especially without having an overwhelming stuffy aura.
A little later, it still smells of figs, although it occasionally has a slightly stuffy scent, well, this is quite minimal and therefore falls into the "okay" range. You can still smell the musk and now also a bit of cedarwood.
At the very end, it still has a slight fig scent. The sweetness continues to come from the musk, and cedarwood can also be smelled. The biggest difference from the beginning is that the end smells rather powdery instead of having the creamy effect of the beginning. But even the powdery scent is very pleasant, so the fragrance has turned out to be quite nice overall.
I mean, you can hardly smell the fragrance on yourself, so it will be even less noticeable to others, which is a bit unfortunate. A little more zest for a great refreshment in summer wouldn't have hurt. Therefore, the fragrance remains mostly inconspicuous and, in my opinion, is only recommended for a casual day. A scent for oneself on warm days, for leisure, lounging, gardening, feeding the cat, or whatever :))
It is particularly suitable for work, as its weak projection makes it unobtrusive.
A test would actually only be recommended for true fig fans, although I would also tell them that there are even better fig scents, or at least stronger ones, since the fragrance here is, as mentioned, nice. It's always a matter of taste. If you want, you can browse through my fig scent list here, where I have listed the fig scents that I think are really great, but I will also include this fragrance here since it smells very nice and the fig doesn't disappear after two minutes :)
Well, that's it for now. Thanks to Flaconesse for the opportunity to test the fragrance (aaaaaargh, did I already mention that she absolutely can't stand Star Wars????)! Have a nice evening on this free day and see you later :)

The fragrance:
The fragrance starts with nice fig notes that come across as both slightly creamy and naturally fruity, even though they smell only a bit sweet. But that changes after a few minutes when the fragrance is mixed with other sweet notes, like musk for example. Nice and also fitting for the spring-like aura of the fragrance are the lemons, which unfortunately are also quite weak, so the citrusy aura lacks a bit of zest. Other fruity notes in the background remind a bit of apricots or peaches. A little later, it still smells of figs, although it occasionally has a slightly stuffy scent, well, this is quite minimal and therefore falls into the "okay" range. You can still smell the musk and now also a bit of cedarwood.

The sillage and longevity:
I actually expected this, but I still find it very unfortunate that the sillage turned out to be relatively weak. You can barely smell the fragrance yourself, as it won't stand out even up close. The longevity is about six hours. The bottle:
The bottle is multi-faceted and filled with pink fragrance liquid. A large label is stuck on the front, which fits well with the name of the fragrance "1902," as its design leaves an impression of long-gone days, as if you were buying something bottled in the early 1800s/1900s. In any case, a nice bottle, but it's not particularly exciting. Conclusion:
Okay, first of all: Yes, the fig scent is nice, especially since it doesn't smell stuffy as feared. Especially the top note is quite nice and also pleasantly creamy. During the fragrance development, I did feel that it could become a bit stuffy in the heart note, as I perceived something stuffy in the background, but fortunately, this faded away quite quickly, so it didn't bother me further. Therefore, I find the fragrance nice, but unfortunately, it is very weak in its projection.
