Musc Blanc & Lin Berdoues 2024

This is a surprisingly complex wear, especially at this price point. The initial spray is that of a fairly straightforward white laundry musk with a bit of a fizzy, even hissing quality. But this softens, and actually EVOLVES, believe it or not, into woodier, subtly fruity-floral-herbal. Steam iron and bedsheets, a slight coziness at the very bottom, not exactly sweet but very slightly warm and creamy... Not one harsh or sneezy edge to this composition, and honestly this may be my new white musk standard bearer. Not exactly elongated dry down, but perfect for bedtime in Summer.

I can never really make up my mind when it comes to my perfume preferences. Sometimes I like things experimental and loud. And then I also enjoy something subtle and close to the skin. At the moment, I’m in my close-to-the-skin phase, and I stumbled across this fragrance. I love sleeping in freshly washed bed linen, and this fragrance totally gives me that feeling. The fresh linen scent comes through right at the beginning. Then comes white linen, followed by musk to kneel before.

... and before I head to bed, I quickly take a shower. Out, dried off, and putting on my sleep shirt. To make the sleep perfect, I apply my favorite scent for the night. I grab a glass of water for the night and then get into my bed, which smells wonderfully clean like freshly washed cotton. It's going to be a peaceful night.

When applying this fragrance, the first thing that hits the nose is a fresh, powdery note. This blends with the accords of freshly washed cotton bed linens. A hint of light woodiness comes through, and the musk makes this perfume clean and dry. It's simply a scent for clean ladies and gentlemen.

The longevity and sillage are average.

Here, the house of Berdoues has launched this fragrance as a women's scent. I can't confirm that; I definitely perceive it as unisex. Since it has a very mature character, I believe it is suitable for those aged 21 and up. It's a versatile fragrance that can be worn year-round. During the day at university, in the office, at a meeting, or when meeting friends. In the evening at a bar, club, a party, or a date. The scent is so beautifully subtle that it stands out again.

Musc Blanc & Lin is not intrusive but also not inconspicuous. It is the fragrance you wear to flatter your own scent, to enhance your clothing olfactorily, and to bring yourself into a warm, clean, and cozy state. It will never disturb and will probably never be consciously perceived as a perfume. If that's exactly what you want, especially with a sensitive nose or risk of headaches, then you are in the right place. Although labeled as a generic clean scent, I still find that it does not smell like others. It is one of my favorites among the “Clean Girl” fragrances because no note stands out particularly, and I simply associate it with positive feelings. The only thing that stands out here is indeed the price: unbeatable value for a truly good quality!
