@ The Buddha's Enlightenment
According to some versions of the mythology, at the moment when The Buddha attained enlightenment, jewels rained fræ the sky such that they were knee-deep on the ground. I think also, the air was replete with this perfume! Or, if Mary Magdelene had had this in her wardrobe, it would have been the one wherewithal she anointed the head of Jesus of Nazareth.

Basically, I would say this is possibly the closest approach to ~the perfect 'fume~ I have ever encountered. I hesitate to say that ^any^ perfume of this price is worth it; but, on the plane of perfume, and given that they do have the exceedingly high prices that they do, this one possibly does actually ~justify~ its price. And it is ^indeed^ ~pistikæs polutelous~!

Would anyone agree that some of these higher price-brackett (and by that I mean 'higher' on ^this^ provenancer's scale (!)) 'fumes, such as this one, and ~Green Sapphire~, induce the illusion that when you intraspire of it you are ^drinking^ it? Bit weird, I know; but they ^do^ do that with me!

Untamed Rose & Leather
Very fruity, opulently floral is Almas. There is no doubt that rose is a central theme of this fragrance. The fruits in the top note provide a certain "relief" to the deep dark rose in the heart. They open the scent a bit towards semi-transparency. Nevertheless, it remains a combination that many will surely think: rose-oud. Again.

However, this BtV is worth a test and an unbiased consideration.

The used (Cambodian) oud is smoky-woody and (thankfully) completely free of farmyard attitudes. Together with the suede, it creates a slightly rough texture that forms a wonderful counterpoint to the red opulence. But also to the well-known accord marriage of rose and agarwood. The suede structures and comes as the finest, light leather. Slightly velvety. In any case and at all times playful.

I found it very positive that the fruity-floral top note recedes after about 3 hours, giving plenty of space to the calm smokiness of the oud with suede. At this point, the fragrance also becomes truly unisex for me and takes on a slightly more rugged facet that allows me to identify with it.

From hour 4+, the softer base accords come into play. Despite still almost undimmed projection, I now smell sandalwood, vanilla, and white musk in close proximity to the skin. A preview of the drydown, which couldn't be more beautiful.

Within the next 4-6 hours, Almas continues to nurture its wearer. It becomes cozier and allows for a loving farewell with a broad smile on the face by the afternoon.

I can recommend this fragrance to anyone who would like to test a rose-oud with a leather twist. Acquiring a bottle for myself seems very ambitious at the moment. It should be noted that especially with the current temperatures, beyond 30 degrees, a high sensitivity in dosing would be advisable. Every degree above the comfort temperature (22°C) seems to make the scent take the room by storm in 10cm steps. The projection is gigantic. This is ensured by the oud, which somehow belongs to the warmth. :)

A warm and powdery, yet gently leathery, oriental floral-woody Fall fragrance, balanced by a juicy spicy-fruity opening. More masculine.

Rose-saffron open, followed by light white florals & a moderate oud. Zero fruitiness, quiet. Should compete with Nefs, but it's miles off.

Rose-oud-combo reinterpreted. Initial strong fruitiness of pineapple deteriorates and then supports the whole skilfully. Unusual and fine!

Countless Rose-Oud variations from the house
Here with lots of suede and saffron
Slight fruity accents to tame the wild notes

Roses coated with cardamom, soft leather, opulent as always, more floral than fruity. A bit too much for me personally, but well done.

Ananoud (= Pineapple with Oud) is something different. It has light leather and a few flowers. Overall, not super original, but good.

PINEAPPLE! Am I crazy? :) Amazing start. Transitions into a floral-woody scent. Unusual rose-oud combo. Oh pineapple, please stay!

Leather and oud are genius. With rose. And a cuddly factor. Perfect, relaxed rose-oud that doesn’t scare anyone away. Except for the credit card ;)

Lightly fruity, little rose, and a lot of suede combined with OUD.
The absolute dream of a scent. PS: wonderfully light animalic.
