Fresh Spicy Rosy Woody Oud
On the opening I get fresh spicy lavender and Oud. The Oud reminds me of the Oud in Sahraa Oud by Fragrance Du Bois but much lighter and aromatic. From the Oud I can smell a slight rose and sweetness and this is the heart of the scent. It's quite intricate as here and there I can pick up other notes like leather and woods.

Eventually it becomes very woody and spicy whilst been very easy to wear. It's a very light wearing scent. And that oudy rosy heart is always there. It smells very classy and chic. I would say the scent is reminiscent and has the same vibe as Tom Fords Oud Wood and Royal Oud by Creed. But having better ingredients than both of them.

The star of the show is the slightly sweet rosy Oud which seems to be the heart of the scent. All in all very lovely and chic. I like it a lot!

I M P E R I A L
Imperial from the British House of Haute Luxury Niche Perfumery Boadicea The Victorious is a Oriental Woody Spicy Amber Floral Unisex perfume. I found it more masculine.
Imperial is a fragrance that bridges the gap between East and West, combining powerful oriental notes with the refined legacy of English perfumery. It follows the same proposal as the iconic Oud Wood, it is not a copy, it is even more perfume than Tom Ford's classic.

The fragrance opens with a delicious penetrating woody blend of a raw rosewood, immediately blending with a light smokiness of birch, with a pungent duet of lavender and angelica, providing a woody, fresh, aromatic and smoky opening at the same time. A majestic exit making a seamless transition to the heart of the fragrance.

As the fragrance evolves, a rich masculine floral bouquet emerges, led by geranium, rose and jasmine adding a softness and sophistication. And bringing a refined vibe to the composition. This floral core is the essence of elegance, balancing the fragrance with its charming and delicate aroma. This delicate lightness at the heart of the perfume perfectly balances this creation.

The base is a luxurious and exotic blend with the woody creaminess of Indian sandalwood, a light touch of medicinal smoky Cambodian oud, subtle incense, with the dark and resinous labdanum. Sandalwood provides a creamy warmth, 'oud adds a rich, resinous depth, giving the fragrance its smoky resinous woody character. And yet Imperial is surprisingly fresh and versatile that has made it famous.

everyday luxury
A good mix with soft leather, balsamic notes and wood, with a blue nuances, very wearable and sophisticated, but suitable for everyday wear. Dark, slighty sweet and high quality
blue mix. Whenever i wear this i feel like a russian oligarch!

Olfactory Journey
Woody, yet floral. Spicy, yet fresh. Imperial introduces itself sharp and slightly off putting, but one must keep in mind that the house of Boadicea uses raw materials. Many of their blends smell very natural and often take time to unfold. The dry down is stunning. Rose is not a prominent note, but you can catch it peeking its petals through a full floral heart of this composition. The lavender here is so finely blended, that it doesn’t strike you as lavender. It has been merged with several other notes to forge something rather distinctive. I find that this fragrance smells almost completely different when smelling close range versus catching intermittent wafts. I was not immediately reminded of TF Oud Wood or Creed's Royal Oud, but find that it does fall into that category. If you smell hard enough, the oud and rosewood combination is reminiscent of Oud Wood. Those who compared Imperial to Angel A*Men may seem way off looking at the note scheme, but I do get very subtle whispers of A*Men 45 minutes into wear. Lavender, sandalwood and patchouli perhaps? Imperial may vaguely remind you of a few existing scents out there, but is definitely its own fragrance. Classy, unique and high profile. Imperial will take you on a thrilling olfactory journey.

Boadicea Imperial
This is, without exaggeration, one of the biggest disappointments I’ve experienced in niche perfumery.
Imperial quickly reveals itself as a fragrance built almost entirely around a blunt, synthetic ambroxan / woody-amber core. Any initial promise disappears fast, and what remains is a flat, aggressive, chemical dryness with no soul, no evolution, and no luxury feel whatsoever.
The drydown is painfully reminiscent of Fragrance du Bois Lucius — the same harsh ambroxan overload that feels cheap, mass-produced, and completely out of place at this price level. To my nose, this smells closer to an inexpensive Middle Eastern clone fragrance than to anything that should carry a luxury niche price tag.
For a brand like Boadicea the Victorious, this feels like a complete misfire. Stripped of its marketing, bottle, and hype, the scent itself offers nothing refined or memorable. In my opinion, it is vastly overpriced and fundamentally unworthy of its reputation.

Lavender, on top of lavender with more lavender…smells like an air freshener. Hard pass.

Initially musky spicy-green, a warm and smooth, slightly leathery, oriental spicy-woody Fall fragrance, with a creamy resinous-woody base.

In the opening, lavender, angelica and a fruity touch. Then comes the oud, complex but well-rounded, smooth, warming, slightly smoky.

Opens with lavender on a spicy-woody (Oud Wood-esque) base. Sweet lavender dry-down, a bit like Kilian's A Taste of Heaven. Well-executed.

Has many facets: woody, oudy, flowery, fruity-sweet and even somewhat fresh (due to angelica, birch).

Interesting fragrance with classic dynamics. First fougere character, which then turns into jasmine and leather. Aromatic, earthy, woody.

A luxurious woody-amber blend dominated by refined woods. Smooth yet complex. Great for formal.
