Pepper imperial
Tested at printemps shop cause a boadicea stand.i didn t want to test it cause i dislike vetiver but the seller insisted.

Indeed he has truth it didn t smell vetiver but the pepper it reminds me terrible teddy of walter penhaligon.so i dislike as well.

After 10 minutes patchouli is clearly smelled ,too common for me particulary for a fragrance which coasts 300€.

It s a fragrance which can be good for mature men and for the winter.

The sillage is good and the longevity as well 8 hours.

My reaction to a blind test without knowing the contents of the sample
In the opening, I get maximum herbal freshness. A very authentic mixture of essential oils, rather old-school and smells to me like a health food store with eco-friendly fragrance oils. To me, it has a bit of a luxury cold balm vibe. I like such scents, but in the opening, it is so close to the balm that I would be afraid people might ask if I am sick. And the oil is so sharp that it almost burns the eyes when you smell it. At least it's a scent that I would definitely wear if I had a cold, because it would clear my nose beautifully. Very masculine, rough, angular.
After a few minutes, it becomes a bit softer, that sharpness from the opening recedes a bit, and it turns into a damp coniferous forest. I really like that. So, the first 15 minutes are quite a lot, almost shocking, but then it calms down again and transforms into a wonderful nature and forest scent with a sauna infusion charm. It also has a lovely mossy quality for me. Yes, much better now than at the beginning. I can imagine the scent very well in rainy weather in spring. A walk in nature, the rain dripping from the leaves, moisture in the air. Breathe deeply and feel the inner calm. There, the scent unfolds beautifully, it gains a lovely weight. It also slightly reminds me of "Notion" by Spirit of Kings, maybe because of the eucalyptus-patchouli note? In any case, it accompanies me well through the morning, it is invigorating and refreshing. It smells incredibly natural and real to me, not synthetic at all. Craftsmanship-wise, it is simply a very well-made scent, unpretentious and clear. Well suited for creative work to get a clear head, a mountain hike at the tree line, and a morning ritual to greet the day. Longevity is also good, I can still clearly smell it on my skin, however, the scent is also very linear; after the initial explosion, it has remained the same for the rest of the time. I would give it an 8/10. Solid and with character, but not a stroke of genius.

Citrusy, fresh, green, spicy and woody. A well-blended vetiver with warm pepper and patchouli. Aromatic and slightly ambery. Great scent.

An "improved" Terre d'Hermes, without the bitter earthiness. If both cost the same I would get this one, however, performance isn't as good.

Opens with that TDH/Isola Blu/Basso style citrus-vetiver combo. Dry-down is more fresh-musky-woody w/ some patchouli nuances. Very light.

Blinded: citrusy very cooler, neroli in the straight way and a beautiful base such Isola Blu but more strong! In love

Stunning composition. Was Roja inspired? I prefer Boadicea a little more in this case

A successful TdH variation, but it lacks Ellena's sharpness. Dill, wax, dish soap lemon. The nose is clouded by woody musk.
