Kashmiri Musk

Opening:
The fragrance unveils with a bold fusion of saffron and cinnamon, creating an immediate spicy warmth that feels both invigorating and luxurious.

Heart:
As it develops, the frankincense elegantly blends with amber and saffron, creating a harmonious amber-frankincense-saffron fusion. The creamy magnolia stays in the background, adding a soft, floral nuance that enhances the warmth of the composition.

Dry Down:
In the final stages, the scent deepens as Kashmiri musk emerges, with frankincense and amber lingering softly in the background. After 5-7 hours, Kashmiri musk takes over, dominating the scent profile, while a smooth, creamy vanilla gently complements it, providing a soothing finish.

Performance: Beast mode.

DRAGON I Majestic dragon that perfectly harmonizes the contrasts between East and West!

The Dragon is the second fragrance from the most expensive collection that I was allowed to test here in Stuttgart today. My curiosity was actually directed towards the Hanuman, but after testing it today, I have to honestly say that the Dragon is much more to my personal taste.

Why is that? Let's get into it:

- The Dragon starts with a beautiful combination of saffron and frankincense; yes, although frankincense is only listed in the heart note, it actually comes into its own very early on in the fragrance. The spicy-sweet saffron naturally dominates, but the incense envelops this sweetness with a beautiful slightly resinous-smoky DNA, simply gorgeous. Cinnamon also adds a little warmth and sweetness to the whole story and rounds off the opening.

- A beautiful floral-creamy magnolia is added very quickly, but it complements the amber well. In comparison to Hanuman, this fragrance does not drift into this extremely creamy scent, which disturbed me a little with Hanuman. The saffron and incense are still dominant, but are beautifully complemented by this magnolia-amber combination. In the drydown, cashmeran is added, which is not quite as creamy as in Hanuman, but also brings woody aspects with it, light and perfectly interacting with the spicy sweetness.

- The performance is far better with this fragrance, it lasted extremely long and also projected very well. I was able to smell it late into the night, so top!
A successful fragrance for me, which is still priced far too high, but smells really good in terms of quality. I don't understand the comments about synthetics; of course the fragrance smells a bit oriental, sweet, floral and also spicy, but from my point of view you can't just label this fragrance "badly synthetic". The fragrance is full, lively, oriental and of high quality....

...but I would never pay the RRP for it. :)
