The big brother of...
At first, I really wasn't sure. Something about the scent bothered me. Was it something animalistic, which I generally don't particularly like? Yet I was fascinated. So I took the opportunity and snagged an inexpensive bottle. Only the all-day test on my upper body brought certainty. "That's me!" Not always, not every day. But this is a fragrance that can be distinguished from all the others, that doesn't shy away and is still (at least for me) wearable, and that is simply very rare. I'm not going to let others ruin it for me and I simply claim its existence.

I've already written a few lines about its little brother "Power Collection - Seductive." This is not necessarily Provocative Light. It is more subdued. Both in terms of application and volume. Now everyone might ask, "Well, who needs Seductive if they already have Provocative?" Seductive is a companion. Provocative is an unmistakable statement. You really have to handle Provocative with care. I have only a handful of fragrances that "stick" like this. On the skin for more than a day, on clothing for weeks, and it survives, depending on the temperature, even a washing machine cycle.

Provocative is the full scope, the full blast. Sage, in terms of herbaceousness, and oud, in terms of smoothness, oiliness, and grandeur, are its boosters that Seductive lacks. Although I also assume a generally higher concentration.

Kamikaze
The fragrance notes sound so wonderful to me... And right after spraying it on, I was initially thrilled! Resinous-spicy, herb-fresh, yes, even a bit reminiscent of rubbing alcohol, which I really like. I could actually recognize almost all the mentioned fragrance notes in the top and heart notes (especially lavender and pepper) quite well. That's almost never the case - usually, there are barely more than 2 or 3, I'm not a "super nose"! Quickly, my finger clicked to rate it 9.0.
But that was hasty! Because just a few minutes later, an unpleasant animalic note made itself known to me. No, I need to specify - a urinous note. Apparently, a problem with my skin chemistry, because so far no user has reported this experience. Kamikaze-like, my rating plummeted to (for me already very low) 4.0. Unfortunately, this impression lingered for quite a while and only gradually transitioned into a sharp-fresh note, which I also didn't find particularly pleasant on myself.
The next morning, however, I still had the remnants of a pleasant spicy-herb fragrance on my arm, which did make me feel a bit more reconciled.

What a shame! This perfume is simply not for my skin. But my negative experiences shouldn't deter anyone from testing it who enjoys herb-spicy, coniferous scents.

Provocative? Yes indeed!
What is extremely rare, this fragrance prompted (provoked) my husband to make a remark:
- "Something" smells very good here!
I immediately informed him that it was me. *grins*
His "compliment" afterwards was a bit sober:
- Well, then you finally found something that really hits the nose!
Okay, great, thanks!

My own story with this fragrance takes place in Apulia, more precisely: in the spur of the Italian boot, in the Valle de Campanile. A lonely valley between the Foresta Umbra and the sea. Rugged rocks with caves here and there where hermits used to live. We were a small group of art historians and archaeologists, painstakingly climbing the neglected and eroded paths. Every caper bush, every shrub or overhanging tree branch was gratefully used for support to avoid slipping. Hard to believe how my hands looked and..... smelled after the 8-hour tour! Washing hands was not an option on the way, as the water we brought was needed for drinking and to spray the cave frescoes so they could be seen and photographed better.

To me, Provocative smells like my hands did back then: resinous, herbal, woody, balsamically warm yet strangely spicy dark green. Extravagant contrasts...

The fragrance has an impressive longevity and strong (apparently pleasant) sillage.

Here is an archetype
Etheric being
Made of herbs and needles
So bitter and bright
Knotty and cool
No amber could embrace it

In my childhood, there was a type of rubbing alcohol for muscle pain that smelled exactly like this: menthol-woody. Nothing more!

In a spooky witch's house, deep in the darkest fir forest, a little sniffly witch sits in a cold bath and drinks herbal tea.

Beautiful scent. The name is a bit misleading. It's not provocative, but rather calming. Like a walk through a green forest (...)

According to the scent notes, I should have liked it. But I don't.
Initially unpleasantly ethereal, later more balsamic and better.
Unrefined.

The mint adds a special twist in the woods, while the musk stirs deep below. Very wearable and perfect for high temperatures.

Sage-resin-oud blend. Here on the reddish side. Very cozy yet wild and a bit dirty due to the refined sage.

You have to endure the nasty opening for a moment, then there's a relaxing fir infusion! Wellness time! But wearing it? Mmmhhh...

Just a wonderful, healthy, and long-lasting forest scent. Old formulation. I really like it. Top!

Actually exactly my style - resinous-herbaceous. Unfortunately still off, as it's annoyingly shrill and unharmonious. A contrived niche nonsense.
