Vetiver roots
1000flowers is just a small atelier, founded in Canada and now based in Grasse. They boast a small scale, handmade and sustainable product line. Although I found just a few of their releases convincing so far, I have become a fan of their concept.
While other houses charge extra for their all-natural releases, at 1000flowers it is the standard. In fact, Racine de Vetiver is a bargain. It seems that this started as a natural (eau de) essence and is now marketed as a full-fledged perfume. Quite rightly, if you ask me.
The formula is simple, but the result is friendly and refreshing. An opening of grapefruit, followed by a rooty, smoky vetiver and a soft amber in the end.
Ideal for casual springtime wear. Actually it may work well in the office too as it is pretty inoffensive.
