Good Girl Blush Carolina Herrera 2023 Eau de Parfum

Spoiler: this is going to be a rave because I’m a fan of the entire Good Girl line. This is a vanilla floral. Definitely has the underlying sweet Good Girl DNA but this fragrance is slightly lighter and more floral (peony and rose, to be exact). Very feminine and pretty.

This is more of a daytime fragrance than the original. The florals make it well-suited for spring, but the warmth from the vanilla base also makes this appropriate for fall and winter use in my opinion. This may be too sweet and cloying in full summer heat.

As with the original Good Girl, this one also has fantastic sillage and lasting power. 1-2 sprays are more than enough to get me through the day. And I personally love the pink shoe bottle!

First off, I’ll say that I actually really like this perfume. To my nose, it smells very similar to VGG, but with less of the juicy fruitiness and more of a bright citrus and sweet vanillic base. Heavy on the peony without overpowering the rose totally. It is a very girly girl scent and it was definitely made for the pretty girls that love to emulate the color pink in all its feminine glory. It’s not as sexy as VGG, which is what makes Good Girl Blush this a “like” and not a “love” for me. VGG is very sexy and forward, this one is a bit reserved and not as daring. Again, nothing wrong with that but I already have scents that give that sort of vibe in my collection.

Performance is pretty good, with very good sillage and longevity and has an addictive quality to it. I wore it tonight to go to bed and I was sniffing myself and getting very beautiful wafts of it.

I feel like GGB is the more everyday version of VGG. I think this would be appropriate to wear to the gym, to work, on a date, to grab drinks at happy hour, to go for a walk in the park, etc. I could even see this being someone signature scent.

Overall, I think that if you like VGG but need something a bit toned back for more regular wear, give GGB a try. I’m still undecided if I want to add it to my collection. But it is a strong like! Very excited to try the newest Elixir flanker of this one!

Good Girl Blush is more in line with Very Good Girl than regular Good Girl: A sweet, rosy fruity floral that recalls PDM Delina. Surprisingly it doesn't even have rose or any fruit beyond bergamot in the notes list! But the peony note here is really domninant and rose-like and the juicy sweetness of the scent comes across as fruity to me.
Underneath the peony and the fresher top notes lies a layer of vanillic, musky sweetness. It's quite fluffy and creamy, especially on my skin (more so than on a blotter!), and this part of the fragrance reminds me of Lattafa Yara and Montblanc Signature.
The last layer of the fragrance is a touch of subtle Good Girl DNA. If you have tried the original, you will recognize the sweet-ish, but also slightly scratchy tonka bean here. In Good Girl Blush it's way less pronounced than in the original though, I think it's completely possible to like one of them and hate the other.

You see, this is an olfactory pastiche of different trendy accords. I like them all, they work together very well and this mix didn't exist before, so I'm not complaining. I also think that the scent is very fitting for the light pink of the bottle. It's essentially a softer, springy, intensely peony-infused Good Girl.

I already have Delina, Yara and Good Girl Légère in my collection, so I did a little experiment and layered them all on my arm. And what can I tell you... The result does smell similar to Good Girl Blush, but even better. It's richer, deeper and has a little less sourness to it. Therefore I made my decision - I will wear this combo out (and try not to overdose while layering 3 scents) instead of buying Good Girl Blush. It's still a lovely scent, just not original enough to own it if you already have a big collection with all the similar fragrances.

"i feel sick."

This was my initial review, borne out of a very broken mindset. I had something awful done to me by someone wearing this perfume, and it became a kind of hyperobsession. This perfume would bounce around my mind, when I smelled it on other people it would make me panic.

It really does make me sick.

I like the idea of this fragrance. However, she fades to nothing faster than the other flankers. That would not normally rub me the wrong way. However, at first spray this is more tropical leaning (not my thing) and by the end it settles into a pretty peony scent. However by that point, it is difficult to detect and not in a “close to the skin” kind of way
