Surprisingly Good

Good Girl Blush Elixer by Carolina Herrera. Got a free sample of this and I’m surprised by how much I like it. Reading the notes it really shouldn’t do anything special, but it smells really intoxicating with my skin chemistry. Woody, warm and seductive with a small hint of some herby freshness.

Interestingly enough while I was trying to formulate my thoughts about this scent my partner came up to me and was like ‘you smell good’ which is only the second time he has complimented me with a fragrance. (The First One being Sì Passione by Giorgio Armani)

work in progress

The latest flanker of the good girl line seems to me a work in progress. The notes are very appealing to me, especially the solar ylang ylang coupled to dark patchouli and vanilla. However the perfume is to my nose missing more accords and more complexity. The ylang ylang is also not prominent at all to my nose. Tested several times.

Like A Gorgeous But Uncomfortable Dress

I bought a miniature set with this and Very Good Girl Glam and I do like this, but I think the ylang-ylang and patchouli are mixing together in a way that I don't like. This has a nice light rose and I'm always a fan of bergamot and mandarin orange but the patchouli and ylang-ylang kind of take over and make it hard to smell those notes. This is like wearing a cocktail dress that you know is super flattering and you look great in but there's a really big, scratchy tag or the zipper in in a weird place and it bugs you just enough to notice it all night. Not bad and I definitely keep going back to smell my wrist so there is an addictive quality to it but feels like a work in progress because it's just not quite balanced right.

If Good Girl Blush had an older sister, this would be her ! :)

And it is confident, radiant, and just a bit more sophisticated. The original is bubbly and lighthearted, while Blush Elixir feels smoother and more polished, yet still playful at heart.
I don’t pick up much rose or patchouli here; instead, there’s a creamy, slightly tropical undertone that gives it a warm, sun-kissed vibe. Its almost like Blush OG with a touch of pina colada. The original is fresher and brighter, but this one leans softer, creamier, and more sensual.
It reminds me somewhat of Yara, but more refined and balanced. A perfect choice for warm summer evenings when you want something cheerful but elegant :)

my favorite Good Girl by Carolina Herrera

The Carolina Herrera Good Girl Blush ELEXIR is, alongside the Good Girl Blush in the pink bottle, my favorite from the Good Girl line.
I now own 6 of the Highheel Good Girl fragrances, and the 2 in the pink bottle are my favorites.
The pink-black Good Girl Elexir is a scent that I love to wear when I'm unsure of what to put on; it's definitely one of my favorites. I really enjoy smelling it on myself.
It is sweet, powdery, unique, and has a subtle gourmand note due to the vanilla, even though it is not a gourmand but a sweet floral fragrance. The rose and the ylang-ylang flower clearly dominate here, yet the vanilla is noticeable.
As I said, I really like the scent; I find it unique and beautiful. However, it is an upgrade of the other Good Girl Blush fragrance, smelling almost like the Blush later on, which is probably the evening version of it.
