Surprisingly Good

Good Girl Blush Elixer by Carolina Herrera. Got a free sample of this and I’m surprised by how much I like it. Reading the notes it really shouldn’t do anything special, but it smells really intoxicating with my skin chemistry. Woody, warm and seductive with a small hint of some herby freshness.

Interestingly enough while I was trying to formulate my thoughts about this scent my partner came up to me and was like ‘you smell good’ which is only the second time he has complimented me with a fragrance. (The First One being Sì Passione by Giorgio Armani)

work in progress

The latest flanker of the good girl line seems to me a work in progress. The notes are very appealing to me, especially the solar ylang ylang coupled to dark patchouli and vanilla. However the perfume is to my nose missing more accords and more complexity. The ylang ylang is also not prominent at all to my nose. Tested several times.

Like A Gorgeous But Uncomfortable Dress

I bought a miniature set with this and Very Good Girl Glam and I do like this, but I think the ylang-ylang and patchouli are mixing together in a way that I don't like. This has a nice light rose and I'm always a fan of bergamot and mandarin orange but the patchouli and ylang-ylang kind of take over and make it hard to smell those notes. This is like wearing a cocktail dress that you know is super flattering and you look great in but there's a really big, scratchy tag or the zipper in in a weird place and it bugs you just enough to notice it all night. Not bad and I definitely keep going back to smell my wrist so there is an addictive quality to it but feels like a work in progress because it's just not quite balanced right.

my favorite Good Girl by Carolina Herrera

The Carolina Herrera Good Girl Blush ELEXIR is next to the Good Girl Blush in the rose flacon my favorite of the Good Girl series I now own 6 of the Highheel Good Girl fragrances and the 2 in the pink bottle are my favorites.
The pink black Good Girl Elexir is a fragrance that I love to wear when I don't know what to wear, so it's one of my favorites. I absolutely love smelling it on me.
It is sweet, powdery, unique and has slight gourmand notes due to the vanilla, although it is not a gourmand but a sweet floral fragrance. The rose and the ylang ylang flower clearly dominate, but the vanilla is still perceptible.
as I said, I like the fragrance very much, I find it unique and beautiful, but it is an upgrade of the other Good Girl Blush fragrance, smells almost like the blush later, this is probably the evening version of it.

Halo effect? Reality for me

After all the other Good Girls disappointed me, I ended up with Blush.
Guided by my preference for pink, I thought to myself: it can only be good! And I was not disappointed.
i already liked Good Girl Blush Eau de Parfum very much, but this one has exactly the finish that I missed in the normal blush. Creamier, rounder... pure perfection for me!
