Bad Boy-like? No. Original? No. Sexy for the ladies? Yes. Underrated? For sure

Between the realms of the modern male fragrances, this one doesn't show itself as something innovative or groudbreaking. It basically steps on tested and proved ground with this cocoa - tonka combo. Sweet and warm, slightly gourmandish and with a bit of freshness on the opening. Yet, you won't smell like every other guys, you'll smell slightly different.

In terms of performance, I do get great longetivity, it stays on my jacket for 2/3 days without any problem, but does not project as heavy as I would like it to. Still, I can say that the performance is a bit above average.

While I might not use fragrances for other people, it feels nice to be complimented by others, specially women. This one does just that, you'll smell like a delicious but soft (and immersed on ambroxan) chocolate bar.

The bottle does look great on my shelf.

In conclusion, this scent is underrated. It does get the job done quite well and doesn't deserve the hate that's guided towards it.
If you get a good deal, like I did, pull the trigger, get your leather jacket, and go get the girls.

Bottled Perfume Store

Got a sample with a purchase. For me this opens extremely saccharin, smelling like soda pops and sour peach rings. It's more pleasant on the dry down, and while still very sweet, it gains some dept. It does however have that middle school lockerroom feeling, and eventually ends up just smelling like a perfume store. Like, just, every masculine leaning perfume mixed together. It's projection is also crazy, I had a single spritz on my wrists and ended up taking a shower because I was smelling it constantly. Not for me, not something I'll be wearing, but if you want to smell like perfume store by all means buy it.

Don't get the hate

I sprayed 3 fragrances on strips tonight to ask my girl for her favorite. I love wearing her choices. Tonight it was BDC EDP, Sauvage Perfume and CH BB EDT. She chose BB immediately. I also like it a lot. I have a big collection and sometimes I just want to wear it when the occasion is right.
The nutty, chocolate is nice on colder nights and the not too overpowering silage and projection makes it safe for restaurants etc.
I don't really get the hate.

chocolate and spice

opens with a smooth, sultry chocolate and pepper spice, with a sweet vanilla tonka, an earthy, patchouli-esque note, and sage. there's a sort of spicy woods propping everything up, keeping it from being too sweet and providing a good balance. it's basic, sure, but it's well crafted and scrumptious.

From the extroverted, quite cheap bottle to the very sweet-synthetic scent - it was immediately clear to me, in a matter of seconds, that this attempt by Carolina Herrera to capture the "One Million" clientele would mostly encounter deaf ears and harsh criticism here on Parfumo. However, I think I have proven often enough that this doesn't always have to align with my taste. So what do I say about this eye-catching "Bad Boy" that I was able to test at the airport in Prague?

It feels like a mix between one of Paco Rabanne's from the current decade and Givenchy's (unfortunately) discontinued "Very Irresistible for Him." "Invictus Night" could also smell somewhat similar in the future. "Eros" and "Y" are not far behind either. The presentation, campaign, and my mentioned comparisons should make the direction clear to everyone right away. "Bad Boy" is a cocoa - or rather milk chocolate - scent, even slightly nutty. That doesn't have to be a bad thing, especially not with my still slightly gourmand-leaning taste. However, this nougat-like backbone of the very immature and club-appropriate fragrance is surrounded by "finest" power synthetic, aggressive and banal, making it sometimes hard to catch a breath. Especially when one dares to bring their nose too close. I have rarely experienced pepper so piercing, tingling, and artificial, and there’s always a Fanta vibe lingering. And I don't mean the classic yellow one, but some of the even more cringe-worthy special editions. Exotic from the lab, multi-fruit from hell, forced cleanliness meets chocolate factory. Cocoa meets freshly showered is simply... an acquired taste. To put it nicely. To put it harshly: baaah! It’s enough for the disco or the shisha bar, but unfortunately not for anything else. I guess I’m too old for that. This is not (anymore?) for me.

Longevity: you really have to sweat, dance, and drink in the club until it's washed off. 8 hours, but quite comfortably. More likely more.
Sillage: definitely loud and intrusive, as expected.

Conclusion: uh, will this be the new hate object of the Parfumo community?! It wouldn't be undeserved, from the striking bottle to the scratchy cocoa scent, not at all. However, it does make sense for its target audience. Or is it even too... deliberately cool and gangsta for them?!
