Strong Impulse
Crystal Chic is one of the perfumes that is increasingly difficult to acquire, as it is no longer in production. I managed to snag a piece back in my homeland, and not least, I noticed the red, heavy bottle with its small adornment that can only be seen upon closer inspection.
I personally don't find it a shame that it is no longer produced, as the scent is really nothing special. The fragrance is packed with berries, which settle like a heavy burden in the perfume. For a long time, it comes across as very tempestuous with its sweetness, which is quite piercing at the beginning. The berries are almost constantly present throughout the scent's evolution, forming a strong platform where the other ingredients can spread their character. After half an hour, the sweetness subsides a bit, and a truly languid scent of orange blossoms and jasmine can be perceived. Floral sweet, the fragrance then settles like a strong impulse into the made nest of vanilla, which allows the sweetness to bloom a bit again. A gourmand, with a soft whisper of flowers that clearly have to submit to the sweetness.
The scent lasts almost 2 full hours. The sweetness then becomes a bit softer, the flowers almost completely fade away, and then a slight warmth comes in, which makes the scent a bit more beautiful and thus completes it. Nothing more happens. It then remains on the skin until it completely dissipates into thin air after 7 hours.
If the berries were significantly fewer and the vanilla more timid, I would like the scent much more. The flowers here seem somewhat out of place and do not come to their full olfactory revelation. They just tag along, and you can definitely tell.
The sillage and longevity clearly belong to the upper middle class. For the price, you can't expect much more, but the price-performance ratio fits perfectly here.
It gives off a strong impulse. Really rich sweet, with a strong fruity character. The flowers here just tag along and do not form a significant point in the scent's evolution. Quite okay, but not earth-shattering.
I will only feast my eyes on the bottle for now; that's enough for me at first. For the approaching winter, it is definitely made for that, as it doesn't come across as too bad in colder temperatures, even if it's not the greatest art.
