Good Girl Jasmine Absolute Carolina Herrera 2025

To me it’s totally different from original Good Girl. I know that one gets a lot of hate but I enjoy original and it has become a modern classic at this point. Also I like Very Good Girl and Very Good Girl Elixir (red bottles) and CANNOT stand Good Girl Blush (pink bottle).
The new Jasmine flanker is too nutty and not in the best way and I pick up some buttery toffee and a bit of tonka. Jasmine is barely there if any at all. On my skin it’s very similar to Elie Saab Girl of Now..I’m not the biggest fan of that perfume too.
Verdict: it’s not the worst fragrance in the world but I surely don’t need a full bottle.

People have said this doesn't resemble the original....I completely disagree. It is lacking...something intriguing that the original has...

OH. I KNOW! It's lacking chaos. Chaos is what made Good Girl what it is.

This is more gourmond-leaning, and contains less musky, floral (odd, considering the name), and over-the-top pandemonium. I don't always Good Girl, but when I do, I'll be reaching for the original or Legere.

This is smoother, to be sure. The mandarin (I didn't know it contained mandarin, but immediately I recognized that the citruses were more mellow and sweeter) is less abrasive than the bergamot (or whatever the hell) in the original.
In the drydown this veers nearly into a neo-amber. It's plushy in texture. More forgiving, and, much less...you know...insane. It's as if GG pulled herself together, but became less interesting in the process.

I am so mad I wasted money on this. It came highly recommended to me when I was asking for a Jasmine perfume. This is NOT a jasmine perfume. In fact I get zero jasmine at all. It isn't even floral - only a sickeningly sweet gourmand with a burnt toffee note. It's awful even by gourmand standards in my opinion and I have no idea why it's so popular.

Sephora gave me a sample of this perfume, sprayed it on my wrist and let it dry down as we travel back home. The too notes are lovely and when I arrived home an hour later I can smell the tonka bean on me. Love the dry down. I bought a bottle a week after. My husband love this perfume on me when we go out. I just have a bit of a problem with its projection and longevity.

Advice ; If you like the dry down of that one ; just try the new release of hugo boss scent for her intense (2026). They both got that same coffee note in there as if it was dropped within a delicious caramel cream with added white florals.

It’s very hard to tell them apart. I even prefer hugo boss release, because while good girl increases in sourness during the dry down (if you own the edp you would know), the hugo boss one becomes creamier. And i think that the notes displayed there are incomplete, it still has the similarities with the OG good girl (which i remind yall has a coffee note also: hence you now understand my comparison with hugo boss’s one)
Overall performance between both is in favour of Jasmine Absolute GG (even if Good girl is louder only in the opening, but scent for her lasts and projects more)
