Smoked Vetiver. Smoking grass? Or smoking grass? You can choose for yourselves what you prefer? :D And then tell me afterwards... no wait... I think I can already guess he he :DD
Anyway, this is my third fragrance from Clean that I am testing, and I expect, as always, a scent with a clean note. So far, I have found the Clean fragrances quite pleasant, although unfortunately all of them are rather weak, making them hardly suitable for going out, but rather for personal enjoyment. Smoked Vetiver is no exception and is even weaker.
The scent:
The scent starts off green; I assume I can detect some vervain and warm, sweet amber notes. The bergamot quickly loses its freshness and soon becomes undetectable, while a bit of musk joins the sweet amber, all enveloped by a faint cloud of myrrh.
I let the scent develop further, and yes, I then smell the vetiver. However, the vetiver smells quite weak and not as earthy-grassy as one might expect; one could call it vetiver-light or something like that…
A few woods join the base, otherwise the scent remains sweet (although the amber has faded and the now slightly darker sweetness comes from the musk) and has the vetiver notes mentioned earlier. As is typical for Clean, there is also a clean overall note added.
The sillage:
Smoked Vetiver has the least sillage of the Clean fragrances I know. It becomes quite weak after five to ten minutes, and it will likely be difficult to smell it on someone.
The longevity is also quite short, lasting only two to three hours.
The bottle:
The bottle is rectangular and filled with clear fragrance liquid. The glass bottom is very thick as always, and the cap looks like it is made of wood (I only know the bottle from pictures). It has a white label with the name and fragrance type on it. Everything is okay, but nothing special.
Well,..
Smoked Vetiver is, let's say, quite nice. It doesn't smell bad, is also clean, making it seem very gentle. But unfortunately, despite its pleasant aura, it is a bit too boring and soon after spraying, it is hardly detectable.
One can only use it for relaxation or going to bed or something, but even for that, there are better fragrances from Clean. Even vetiver fans should steer clear, as the vetiver soon becomes hardly detectable and even then does not smell like what one might expect from other fragrances.
In my opinion, there is really no need to test this fragrance.
