Smoky Fruit Salad
I received this in a discovery set with a few other Clean samples. I enjoyed the other scents in the box such as Warm Cotton and Sparkling Sugar so I figured I would like this one too, especially since I love fruit. Alas, it was not meant to be.
Upon spraying Radiant Nectar on my skin I was immediately greeted by the familiar scent of rotting fruit. I work at a fruit bar, and this perfume smelled on me exactly like our compost bins do after sitting in the sun for a day. I couldn't smell any pear, just rot. I hoped it would settle, but instead the tobacco came through, and now my rotten fruit salad smelled like it was made by a person smoking an old cigar.
A headache developed as the scent lingered on my skin from the time I applied it to when my husband got home. I could not believe the staying power of this perfume. The ones you don't enjoy always seem to last the longest. The fruit smell faded, leaving a musky sweet tobacco scent, with undertones of rot. When my husband came home from work I asked him to smell me, and he said I smelled good! He liked how the tobacco musk smelled with a hint of sweet fruit. He told me he couldn't detect any of the rot scent I had complained about. Funny how that goes.
I'll be finding a friend to give the remainder of this sample to. If you like smoky fruit scents this will probably hit the right boxes for you! For me, this is a no.
