Radiant Nectar Clean 2020

I received this in a discovery set with a few other Clean samples. I enjoyed the other scents in the box such as Warm Cotton and Sparkling Sugar so I figured I would like this one too, especially since I love fruit. Alas, it was not meant to be.

Upon spraying Radiant Nectar on my skin I was immediately greeted by the familiar scent of rotting fruit. I work at a fruit bar, and this perfume smelled on me exactly like our compost bins do after sitting in the sun for a day. I couldn't smell any pear, just rot. I hoped it would settle, but instead the tobacco came through, and now my rotten fruit salad smelled like it was made by a person smoking an old cigar.

A headache developed as the scent lingered on my skin from the time I applied it to when my husband got home. I could not believe the staying power of this perfume. The ones you don't enjoy always seem to last the longest. The fruit smell faded, leaving a musky sweet tobacco scent, with undertones of rot. When my husband came home from work I asked him to smell me, and he said I smelled good! He liked how the tobacco musk smelled with a hint of sweet fruit. He told me he couldn't detect any of the rot scent I had complained about. Funny how that goes.

I'll be finding a friend to give the remainder of this sample to. If you like smoky fruit scents this will probably hit the right boxes for you! For me, this is a no.

I love this! It’s like a more complex Glossier You. That super clean, fresh, happy musk that You has, but with something a little sparkling and sweet underneath it, like a clean nice smelling person drinking a glass of sparkling peach juice. You probably don’t need this if you have You, but if you love that kind of DNA I think you would enjoy having both. My favorite from the clean reserve sample set , definitely getting a full bottle.

I've been collecting perfumes for over a year and this is the first bottle I've used up in full (the 50 ml). It became my staple during the Spring and Summer months. At times I did struggle due to how syrupy or cloying the pear seemed in conjunction with the tobacco flower, but overall I do find it to be a very pleasant, easy-to-reach staple scent with an elegant drydown. The tobacco is fresh rather than seedy or reminiscent of a stale cigarette. Overall effect is positive upon my mood. And unlike some reviewers I do find the longevity to be okay at 3-4 hours. Some people are nose-blind to this as it has Ambroxan.

This used to be one of my favourite fragrances and I’m not sure if my bottle has gone a bit bad or if I’ve simply grown out of it, but it just doesn’t hit the same anymore. I used to love how the nectarine note had a nostalgic musky, almost fermented feel but now it comes off just a little too sour. Has minimal sillage and lasts about 4 hours on me. Sparkling Sugar and God is a Woman Eau de Parfum smell nearly identical but without that sour note so I’ll probably be moving on to one of those instead. Versace pour Femme Dylan Purple Eau de Parfum and Carioca Crush are also similar but the fruitiness is more fresh than musky. Born Dreamer is similar but is a bit muskier. On the other hand I don’t find You Eau de Parfum , Pear Inc. , or Musk | 12 similar. On me Glossier You smells like dirty laundry covered in a cheap fruity body spray, Pear Inc is muskier and less sweet, and Kayali Musk is much muskier with no fruitiness.

Definitely pear in the opening, sweetness, then I also get like a hay grass scent which is probably the tobacco blossom I see listed.
This perfume reminds me of my grandparents' farm in the Kentucky country side where they used to grow tobacco and bale hay. Most definitely a natural scent, does not smell "fake." This is a summer time sweet nature scent that is comforting along with the musk.
I like this! It leans feminine, a lighter intimate scent for the daytime. I have the sample and am currently using it as a bedtime scent.
