The fruity, clean, and pleasant scent that no one talks about! / A little special story... / A little insider tip for layering!
Hello everyone,

Today I would like to talk about a fragrance that seems to never be mentioned and is often dismissed with a "tired" smile by some, it's the 1872 Tarocco Orange.

Many who know "a bit" about the niche world and hear names like Clive Christian along with an authentic + beautiful zesty - fresh - fruity orange quickly think of the "legendary" and seemingly unaffordable 1872 Mandarin and yes, I belong to that group, to be honest. A few months ago, I saw it in the Souk here and thought to myself, oh come on...

The little special story... (for my wife and me):

When I looked up the information about the fragrance, I saw it listed as a women's scent and thought to myself..., oh come on, found a bottle at a fair price - bought it. And I must say there are about 1, 2, 3 fragrances that my wife loves to wear in a certain temperature range and those are Light Blue Eau Intense, Coco Mademoiselle Eau de Toilette, and Chance Eau Fraîche Eau de Toilette. I also really like these 3 on her and already x - xx months ago she asked me if there was something like that in a "luxury version".

Over the months, I had many decants here and ultimately they were "not fulfilling" for her, and since I basically have the 1872 Tarocco Orange in my arsenal, she uses it very often, and recently she said, yes, that's what I wanted!
(Mission complete!)

It is fruity, with a nice fresh base (noticeably high quality), and in the first 1 - 2 hours, I find it absolutely UNISEX (without tendency), but after 2 hours it goes into a light floral, soft, and creamy direction, which is where I understand the classification as feminine.

I, as a man, also wear the 1872 Tarocco Orange (though rarely), but it is very suitable for layering. For men, for example, 3x 1872 Tarocco Orange and on top 1872 for Men makes it even fruitier, or what also works very well is "Anniversary Collection - 150: Timeless | Clive Christian" and "Crown Collection - Crab Apple Blossom | Clive Christian". And for women, Molecule 01 is never wrong - to enhance the performance, and 1872 for Women fits perfectly or even Coco Mademoiselle Eau de Toilette!

I find the H/S to be good!
(And layered it’s very good)

If you find a leftover bottle or a sample here and see yourself reflected in the review, I can only recommend this wonderful fragrance to you!

And now have a nice day/evening or whenever you read this review, best regards, Benny

Pure Nostalgia
Tarocco Orange - just the name makes me drool a little. I have no idea what a Tarocco Orange is, but it sounds so juicy - and also a bit exotic or oriental. Maybe my quirky brain simply associates it with Morocco… So one thing the fragrance reveals right from the start: Juicy orange: Yes, Oriental: No!
With the first truly incredibly fine spray mist, a wonderful orange note immediately envelops me. Not bitter or peely - which I really appreciate - but fruity-sweet, without sliding into too much sweetness. I feel like many other commentators here: The beginning is such that you could imagine all sorts of directions in which the fragrance might develop. However, after a short time, there is no longer any doubt about where the journey is headed. An unmistakable lily of the valley scent is in the air. I truly recommend this fragrance to all lovers of this plant. I’ll admit right away that I’m not exactly a fan of this plant: In the garden or in romantic Mother’s Day bouquets, combined with forget-me-nots, I love it. But in perfumes, it sometimes has such a penetrating, dominant note that makes these fragrances unbearable for me. I have rarely smelled lily of the valley properly integrated into other floral scents in perfumes. With Tarocco Orange, that is the case: Other white flowers - I fancy I smell jasmine and freesia, but please take that with a grain of salt!, join in and create an elegantly intertwined, creamy-white, extremely romantically appealing bouquet. A hint of violet powder conjures up a beautifully nostalgic note.
This bouquet rests on a bed of soft wood and musk, an elegant base that lasts fantastically long. When I sniff my arm the next morning, it could also be the base of a Guerlain vintage fragrance, and I think I catch a hint of moss in the scent.

A truly perfectly crafted fragrance for all lovers of nostalgic floral scents, which retains a bright freshness thanks to the more intense citrus component!

For me, the fragrances of the "Twist" series, which each highlight a fragrance component of the original scents by Clive Christian, are much more interesting and exciting than the original fragrances. The Twist series is limited - apparently, these fragrances will be sold out on the Clive Christian homepage in January. And at 50 percent off, they come into a price range that I am willing to spend for fragrances that enchant me as much as this one does.
Patience really pays off sometimes!

I find the orange beautiful, as it has a slightly bitter touch, orange blossom sweetens it nicely, sandalwood grounds it. Creamy-fine-fresh enjoyment.

Extremely noble floral cream with a touch of nostalgia, ginger + orange add freshness. The Twist scents: more modern and exciting than the originals!!!

Beautiful fruity, floral scent - after spraying it on, I thought it could be for men too, but later it became too feminine for me.

Beautiful floral-creamy scent. Moderate sillage, but long-lasting. Absolutely unisex, faintly reminiscent of Aqua Univ. (MFK)

I'm lying in the hammock in the orange grove, enjoying the enchanting scent of ripe juicy oranges.
Beautifully creamy, just a few blossoms peek through.
