Hello you scent enthusiasts, welcome to a new comment, this time again from the Demeter range. You know that I really enjoy describing and especially testing these fragrances, and once again thanks to a lovely perfume, a new scent has come into my hands, which I absolutely had to comment on.
It's about Ginger Cookie,… yes, that's right, Cookie! COOKIES! Who doesn't love cookies? They come in all shapes and flavors, whether regular, vegan, or for diabetics. These treats are loved by everyone, especially now in the cool autumn and winter season, when they are best enjoyed with tea. Is there anything nicer than dipping your cookie in hot tea? I know, for you, the cookie always breaks off and makes the tea mushy,… my goodness, you are even incapable of dipping a cookie, but normally, dipping makes a cookie especially delicious if you manage to do it :D
Well, you can see it either way, whether you want to smell like cookies, but with Demeter fragrances, it’s usually about simulating a specific scent, which would also explain why there are now so many Demeter fragrances.
But enough chit-chat, let’s start smelling!
The Scent:
The scent immediately begins with a familiar cookie aroma. You can smell these baked goods quite authentically, and with the strong ginger scent, it reminds you of spiced cookies like Speculoos and similar treats.
Well, that’s it. It smells like this from beginning to end without changing, except of course that it gradually weakens in intensity over time.
The Sillage and Longevity:
The sillage is not particularly strong, but not really weak either. For a while, you will be able to smell the scent well yourself. Longevity is actually quite okay for a Demeter fragrance; it is detectable on the skin for about four hours.
The Bottle:
The bottle is, like all Demeter fragrances, only functional rather than beautiful and serves merely as a storage container for the scent. The name of the fragrance is fittingly displayed on a bar in cookie color, but otherwise, it is overloaded with text and generally quite unattractive.
Conclusion:
So! I liked the scent. It’s not a fragrance I would wear because it truly smells authentically like cookies, but it just smells great. For me, it belongs to the scents that you can, for example, place on the table to sniff at from time to time. Even if you then run the risk of getting drool-inducing cravings and munching on tons of cookies (or going crazy when you realize that you have no cookies left at home and the supermarket has long since closed… oh, that’s terrible! :DD).
Otherwise, the scent also reminds me a bit of Christmas, so of a wonderful time. And if you are taking good care of yourself and not doing anything foolish right now, then maybe despite the miserable pandemic, you can enjoy a small but lovely Christmas :)
I, for one, will already set up my Christmas tree shortly before the end of November, and you will probably get to read a new Christmas blog from me sometime in December, of course with cat photos and everything that goes with it, at least that’s the plan :D
So then, I wish you a nice evening, take care of yourselves, and see you next time :)
