I want Christmas back!
Hello, I'm back and today I'm writing about a scent that immediately makes me think of Christmas, which is of course unfortunate since we have so many months until Christmas. We haven't even had summer yet, ugh...
Gingerbread... oh man, I would best just retreat and lament that we still have to endure miserable heatwaves before it gets cold again and then Christmas will be here soon, and yes, I know you all are fed up because of this year's somewhat harsh winter, but still... I like autumn and winter and would only just barely tolerate summer if I could afford a proper air conditioner... or if I had a girlfriend who frolics around in light clothing in warm weather, he he, yes I think then I would probably like summer a little too, mu ha ha :DD
But otherwise... I find summer more than yuck :DD
But back to the gingerbread *sigh* … hm, a gingerbread man would really hit the spot right now :D
The scent is from Demeter Fragrance Library, which, as the name suggests, is more of a scent library where they simulate various fragrances. Therefore, among all the hundreds of scents, there are not only everyday things but also quite curious things like tarnished metal (Tarnish,… the worst thing I have ever tested here!), lobster (Lobster) or even the fur of kittens (Kitten Fur, which I have of course also tested, logically right? :D)
Now and then, however, there are scents that are quite wearable because they simply smell of nice fruits or flowers or are otherwise just pleasant or delicious (hmm… Banana Flambee was so great :D)
Let's see how this one is!
From the heart note onwards, the scent becomes more pleasant and no longer smells so biting. There is still a lot of cinnamon and spices (with a slight orange aroma in the background), but the scent comes across as more perfumey.
And further, the scent doesn't really change anymore, as it smells as I just described until the end, only of course becoming weaker over time. Nevertheless, one must keep in mind that it might not smell quite like the gingerbread one knows from the supermarket.
I'm currently struggling with the decision of whether the scent is wearable or not. At first, it is quite biting and therefore takes some getting used to. After that, it comes across as a spicy-sweet scent that definitely feels like a real perfume and could actually be worn on cold days, best even from November and December, as the Christmas days draw closer. The thing is, though, that despite the initially strong scent notes, it lasts quite briefly, and I think it will evaporate even faster in the cold air outside. It might be better suited to sit on the desk so that one can sniff it from time to time, although there are better and nicer scents for that...
Well, that's it again. Thank you for reading and for enduring my lamenting about the too quickly passed Christmas days... *sigh* :D
At least it's Friday, so I wish you all a wonderful weekend, until next time then :)

Let's see how this one is!
The scent:
The scent smells like gingerbread, but not in the way one would expect. There is surprisingly little sweetness, but much more bitter spice and strong cinnamon, which appears almost biting in the top note.
The sillage and longevity:
The sillage seems at first glance... uh, sniff almost bombastic, but then quickly flattens to an underwhelming level and becomes even weaker over time. As a result, the longevity is of short duration and basically lasts only a fraction of what real perfumes with a spicy scent direction do. The bottle:
The bottle is basically just a simple container for the scent liquid to be filled somewhere. It is just a rectangular container with an overloaded-looking label on the front, which is the same for almost all scents, where only the colored bar with the scent name is different in color depending on the scent. It is topped with a tall, cylindrical, and chrome-plated cap. Well, I have never liked the bottle and I guess that won't change. Conclusion:
Oh Christmas tree, oh Christmas tree… *sigh* Christmas went by way too quickly. And this scent doesn't make it any better. Although it doesn't smell like those supermarket gingerbreads and therefore offers little gentle spicy chocolate sweetness, the scent has something very wintry/Christmassy about it, more of a traditional vibe, which is nice too. And with additional notes like incense or at least incense-like notes, the scent reminds one even more of the festive season.
