Intoxication For A Few Drops
What an intoxicating brew Dolce & Gabbana Intense is! This is a potion to be worn in the dark hours by sultry women who know what they possess. Not what they want, because this is a confident perfume for women who own, who control, who have confidence. It is strong. It is aggressive. It leaves an impression. It wraps around you in a luscious mist.
Green mandarin infused with tuberose ,(the movie-house style buttery popcorn blend tuberose, my favorite blend), mixes heavily in Intense to deliver a potent perfume that delivers continually. There are heavy woods that wraps themselves around this entire mix and then a generous dousing of powder settles in. This is a succulent perfume that embodies fullness, ripeness and maturity. A smidge of smokiness wafts in courtesy of the mystical note of marshmallow and delivers an almost campfire effect.
Is it "Intense"? Perhaps. Memorable, at the least. Bodacious, yes. It's absolutely delicious.
I envisioned a hot-blooded horse trailing through a darkened forest, saddle-less, mists about the tree trunks, lichen and mosses thick abounding. The person that owns this magnificent beast is standing ahead, gazing into the thickets, listening to the overhead cacophony of the forest. The air is cold, thick and heavy with the morning dew as she waits and stands with the creature.
This perfume lasts an incredible time and radiates beautifully. It will create an impression. A small, small amount is needed to allow others to share what you are wearing. A drop on the top of your wrist, the curvature of your neck will do.
I had shopped, chosen a scarf and was walking around the department store before I paid for it. I had draped the scarf around my neck. When I finally went to pay for my purchases, the young woman commented on the scarf. "I love the feel of it," she said. "And it smells so good." I looked at her with chagrin, then smiled. "That would be my perfume," I said. "The scarf isn't scented." "Oh," she said. "Then your perfume is lovely!" (I had put a few drops on my right wrist a few hours earlier.) That's Dolce & Gabbana pour Femme Intense.
As an aside, it does remind me of Hypnotic Poison in scent, longevity and in radiance.

I completely let myself go
What a beautiful, deeply sensual, and fully erotic scent. I breathe it in, and it spreads through every atom of my body. My movements slow down, my eyes are only half open, and dark eyes look around languidly and lustfully, emanating an incredibly intense, beautiful, and alluring fragrance. It is warm and dark, clinging heavily to this mysterious feminine being. Every step reveals a bit of these perfume molecules, and a promise hangs in the air...
Slight floral hints combined with warm woods and then this cheeky marshmallow note create an interestingly mysterious and slightly forbidden aura. Which woman wears it??? Every woman who wants to seduce, who is 125 percent woman, a very self-confident being - she knows what she wants. But beware, sometimes she laughs and suddenly disappears; she knows how to present herself or play with her audience. But her scent is never forgotten.
It lasts incredibly well; no, it clings tightly to you, leaving no room for a leaf in between, and after a few hours, it develops a wonderful radiance.
An absolute fragrance treasure, perfect for grown-up girls, a great joy to possess. Very unique, simply beautiful.

Late Maturity or The Marshmallow Gentleman
Wow...Cavity Alert! Right after spraying, a floral yet primarily fruity note immediately reminds me of the fruit candies from which a rather well-known German-speaking punk rock singer supposedly got his nickname.

A few minutes later, a somewhat characteristic but mild tuberose appears. The orange note takes the lead and makes it lighter (more) bearable. So, I don't have to resort to the soft cheese association again this time. While it's smoother, unfortunately, it is quite bland in return. At least this perfectly fine aroma lasts a solid three to four hours.

By the third hour, it finally happens. Marshmallow, which I had eagerly anticipated. It had peeked around the corner occasionally; now it's here, possibly even slightly smoky. However, you have to imagine it a bit. It could just as well be about cotton candy or roasted almonds or something in that direction. Just super sweet. For my part, it's marshmallow. And that's what I was most looking forward to:

There are probably very few boys born in 1971 and the surrounding years who haven't seen the movie "Ghostbusters" and consequently met the sailor-hatted Michelin Man (diminutive form inappropriate) made of marshmallow. A white behemoth the size of a skyscraper that causes some property damage in the streets of New York until it gets squashed by the ghost hunters. The film premiered in Germany in January 1985. Just before that, the computer game had already been released - at that time, it was the absolute spearhead among new game releases.

Everyone wanted it. And I had it.

Because for Christmas 1984, my brother and I had just received a Commodore 64 and - as if that wasn't enough - also the freshly available computer game at the pharmacy price of one hundred marks. Copy-protected, as programs were back then, we remained the only owners in the already exclusive small group of home computer owners for quite a while. Thus, I could face off against the marshmallow man & co. with the good old "Quickshot-II" joystick even before the cinema visit. Great memory!

Our marshmallow man here is just a tease. He pulls his butt in a bit (that would have looked impressive in the film) and lets the colleagues continue to play. He wasn't this gentlemanly before. The sweetness remains just barely tolerable this way, as an orange residual acidity softens it.

A surprise awaits us in the sixth hour: Who would have thought? DGI gets a sexy touch at the last minute. The reason is a mystery to me, as at first, I only imagine that a hint of amber appears. Overall, the emerging package could perhaps be described as a lightly ambered orange impression with a pinch of musk and an indolic trace. All stirred up, at most, with a sandalwood stick. As official and sober as that may sound, the fragrance thus shifts from the cuddly, sweet, childish to the more feminine. I think it does it good.

After about seven hours, the end is reached. What is supposed to be Intense about this, I don't know; alternatively, it casts a bad light on the normal version - which I, however, do not know.

Conclusion: A pleasant, smooth, calorie-free little Dolcelein, about three-quarters of the time. Although more characterful towards the end, it comes rather late.

Mysterious for Mom
My mom's and my birthdays are just a week apart - and our tastes are similar as well.

That's why I can dare to surprise her, the fragrance connoisseur, with a perfume.

Intense dances pleasantly out of line - quite far from the mainstream.
Though I have nothing against good mainstream fragrances.

It is dark and light at the same time - both warm and cool.
This gives it something unpredictable - mysterious.

The mandarin and neroli are fresh and cool - the tuberose is elegant, and the orange blossom warms the scent.
It is somehow capricious - without being moody.

This very variability is appealing and attractively confusing.

The play with the senses is topped off by a creamy sweet sandalwood - marshmallow mélange that keeps leading my nose back to my wrist.

A fragrance that always subtly draws attention to itself - without being intrusive.
Very original - and definitely to my mom's taste.
She is also a vibrant personality.

"Vibrant" is also the price - but neither my mom nor I are "penny pinchers".

Still, one point deduction for the euros - otherwise it could have been a solid 10.

Sweetness for Adults
Colorful lollipops, sticky marshmallows, sugary candies - oh, how we loved all those treats as kids! Okay, gummy bears are still my favorite - but in general, my taste in sweets has changed over the years. And not just that - my perfume preferences have also evolved!

Prada Candy was once one of my absolute favorite fragrances - really sweet, caramel-like, and full of vanilla. I would say the adult version of that is D&G Pour Femme Intense. Yes, it is sweet. But it is much more purist. It doesn’t shout, "Hey, here I am! With a thousand calories in tow, a bunch of whipped cream, and so much sugar that your daily intake is covered three times over!" No, D&G is lightly fruity and sweet, and the marshmallows come through wonderfully in the base note. But it’s not the marshmallow fluff from the bag or the colorful skewers, no, it’s marshmallows on the hot chocolate that I’m currently enjoying in a lovely café.

I like to take a few sprays of this fragrance and often reapply it because it adapts so beautifully. It smells wonderfully warm and makes you feel cozy, which is why I would recommend it most for cool, gray days. Exactly when you also rummage through the cupboard for chocolate pralines - no adult woman would think of sucking on lollipops then!

Possibly the best "intense" flanker I've ever tried. Very true to the OG scent profile but deeper + richer. Heavenly.

A deeper expression of the original. However, I don't feel that you need both as they are pretty similar. Thoroughly enjoy both. OG reviewed

Beautiful elegant scent. Starts with a bit of strawberry but ends with an elegant blossom scent. Very feminine, very classy.

You only keep me awake for a short while,
for an Intense, you're too weak.
You can only impress at first,
after that, you don't make an impact.

Tuberoses and sugar water. I had to think of discount hand soap or shower gel. Is this supposed to be D&G? Oh come on. It's nothing at all.

I, Salem Saberhagen, lie in a flower meadow, orange blossom adorns my head.
The campfire is out, I'm eating marshmallows "raw."

Fruity, creamy, and cheerful. Lifts your spirits on gloomy days, yet subtle and polished, marshmallow is definitely not too sweet!

Pungently sweet fruity with headache potential. So sweet that "Angel Eau Sucré" suddenly seems bitter on the neighboring test strip. Not sexy!
