Beautiful with the right skin chemistry

This is so gorgeous straight out of the bottle - like a milky gardenia combined with a sugary amber musk.

Unfortunately on my skin, the pear blossom sticks out like a sore thumb and turns a bit salty (I have pretty acidic skin pH so I guess I'm not surprised by this) - which causes the fragrance to topple out of balance.

Try this - it's not boring like some have said; to me it's understated, classy, and beautiful if you have the right skin chemistry!

Underwhelming, juvenile and forgettable

Not the worst out of the Floras, but only because it's faceless. Smells sugary-sweet with an indistinct synthetic undertone. I didn't get much berries, and wasn't able to recognize any particular flowers. Everything except sugar was vague, more of a formality than anything else.

Fabric softener kind of smell, except fabric softener usually lingers longer. It took less than an hour for everything but the base to evaporate, and by the end of the second hour the base was gone as well.

For the money that it costs, this whole collection feels like one big scam to me tbh.

VLJ meets CCM

I agree with everyone who thinks this smells pretty close to Viva La Juicy. Especially in the opening and heart phase, it's uncanny. Lively, fresh berries with a spritz of mandarin, clean gardenia, glossy light caramel (which is listed as brown sugar here, but smells more like a caramel hard candy). Very girly and easygoing. Ironically I find the original VLJ a bit more floral, but many of the flankers lean more into warmer gourmand territories, and Flora does, too.

At least for a while. In the drydown I can suddenly smell the Patchouli and jasmine, and together with the citrus sparkle of the top notes that still hang on, they remind me of a softer, sweeter Coco Mademoiselle. What a surprise! I like that this perfume is not quite as predictable as I thought, even though I seem to be the only one who gets this aspect of the scent.

In my opinion this would make a good everyday scent or even a gift for someone who likes perfumes, but isn't deep into the hobby. And of course also for someone who is and really likes fruity florals, or sometimes needs a break from the niche-y stuff. Just a pleasant, feminine scent, maybe a bit generic, but nicely done.

Kind of off-topic, but I have to get this off my chest: I really didn't like the frilly-frumpy-flowery aesthetic of Gucci under Alessandro Michele. Always a ruffle too much. It took me years to get used to the "new" Flora bottles and I still hope they will get another makeover.

Pretty and adequate

Non-specific fruit and floral float casually on a solid jasmin and sugar base. It certainly does not impress but it is pretty and playful, and there are days I wake up eager to put this on.
It definitely leans youthful but the jasmin really anchors this down in a way to avoid being "juvenile", even though the sugar really does push it this way.
It's very much a mini floral dress sort of perfume. It is fine enough. I also want to add that this has the best atomizer in my entire collection and allows me to spray exactly how little I want to spray.

Nice floral perfume, but I don't get gardenia

This is a nice, mostly inoffensive perfume. Despite the name, I really don't get much gardenia.

I get an initial note of purply, berry, sweet tart like candy. Then it moves to a general floral. It's here that I'm surprised to not get gardenia. Or at least what I normally think of as gardenia. I don't know? Maybe I don't actually know what gardenia smells like? I get more of a violet, freesia like floral. Then it sort of melts into a caramely/amber/skin like scent.

Very mid in terms of how long it lasts. For me it doesn't seem to project very much, but I think of that as a good thing. It feels like it lasts for a decent amount of time but it only hangs in a fairly small bubble around me. For me, it's a safe for work perfume. I'd say it's a fairly safe blind buy - as long as you are generally ok with florals.

This isn't one that I'm going to buy a full bottle of or constantly reach for but it's nice. No complaints. I'll happily use up the sample size I have. There's just nothing super unique or interesting about it.
