Longing
About two years ago, I was able to smell the fragrance for the first time in the boutique in Dubai. Together with all the other exclusives available there.
I was immediately captivated by Mandala Pure Perfume. The scent simply wouldn't let me go.
A brief note about the boutique itself:
Located in the Fashion Avenue of the Dubai Mall, with a simple appearance, the seemingly small boutique is easily overlooked from the outside. Inside, it is simply stunning. I have never seen such a beautiful store before. From the color palette to the choice of materials and arrangement of the displays. Everything just fits perfectly here.
You are greeted very warmly, and a seat is immediately offered to you.
Of course, I was interested in all the exclusives and many more, but I kept finding myself reaching for the strip with Mandala.
The opening is beautifully aromatic. Lavender and clove in a very fine interplay. Slowly, leathery facets begin to emerge. However, for me, the oud and the other woods are more prominent.
The entire fragrance spreads beautifully. It relaxes the senses and allows you to truly unwind. An olfactory massage.
I must have this... if it weren't for the price
Fast forward two years
I find myself back in the aforementioned boutique. Beforehand, I inquired via email whether the fragrance was still available. Yes, it was.
I tested it again. Memories came flooding back, and a grin spread across my face. I believe I spent over an hour testing the offerings. Galileo and a new Middle East exclusive release really appealed to me. Heron Preston Pure Perfume and Soudain L'Hiver Pure Perfume also made it onto my wish list.
With a simple bag tied with a chic ribbon, I left the boutique beaming.
For me, it is an all-around perfect fragrance, tailored to my taste - it almost feels like a bespoke creation just for me. Or at least, as I imagine it. A solid 10/10
