Apple Pie Meets Crème Brûlée
I received this sample at Pieper with my Dior Jules purchase and thought it was the men's version I was already familiar with. But then I noticed that it said EdP on the label, and it might actually be the women's Eau de Parfum. Luckily, I decided to try it out, and it is clearly not the average men's orange. I haven't tested the women's EdT yet, but this brand-new EdP is quite impressive and a reliable everyday companion and all-rounder for all stylish and spontaneously modern women. However, one must like sweetness, as both apples and crème brûlée are not exactly shy when it comes to sweetness and sugar.
The slightly modified Boss Orange bottle fits well in the hand and is not unattractive. Sillage and longevity are, with a bit of luck, just about in the middle of the league, rather on the decline, as it is a rather thin, shy scent that fades away quickly, after about 6 hours. So, a bit more could have been added here, especially as an EdP. But by now, it should be clear to everyone that EdPs often do not match the strength of a true perfume.
Alongside the sweet green apple in the top note, in the sugar-laden crème brûlée base, there is an extremely inconspicuous heart note with a floral meadow that somewhat reminds one of fresh laundry with a hint of orange. But it's as subtle as a brief breeze at 42 degrees.
A good everyday companion that comes across as stylish, calm, sweet, and naive, showing hardly any perfume strength. For the younger, sweet, inexperienced female generation, it will surely be well-received on normal days and won't hurt anyone. It's just a pity that it doesn't last the whole day, not even a workday.
One shouldn't expect miracles, but with a tempered expectation, one won't be disappointed, rather surprised! Because the scent is a lovely intermezzo for all dessert lovers.
