Le Male Pride 2026
The opening has a fresh, slightly tart quality from the mint. Personally, I think there may also be a bit of citrus in there.

The opening disappears quite quickly, and then the mimosa comes through, giving it a very green, grassy character, accompanied by a light almond sweetness.

In the drydown, the almond becomes more prominent and turns into a creamy, woody accord. Interestingly, I don’t really get a strong nutty almond smell from it. The mimosa continues to linger in the background and keeps that soft green, grassy character alive.

What really surprised me is that I haven’t seen anyone online mention this, but to me it smells quite a bit like Le Labo Santal 33.

It doesn’t really have the usual Le Male DNA at all. Instead, it reminds me more of the kind of trendy Santal 33-inspired fragrances you often find at places like Zara — basically Santal 33 with the leather removed and a greener, grassier feel added to it.

My impression is that JPG didn’t put that much effort into creating something distinctive here. It feels like they found a formula in the general Santal 33 style, knew that type of scent would be popular, and then dressed up the official note breakdown around it.

Loud, Proud, and Out of the Crowd
The JPG Pride releases always stir up a storm online before anyone even takes a whiff. Review bombers love to attack what the bottle represents, and critics write it off as another lazy re-skin. But if you ignore the keyboard warriors and judge the 2026 Pride Edition purely on what hits your skin, it actually deserves a victory lap.
Instead of drowning you in the usual ultra-sweet, syrupy vanilla, this green-floral composition takes a completely different path. It opens with a sharp, icy burst of vibrant mint that instantly wakes up your senses. Then comes the real star: a radiant, sunlit mimosa heart that brings a golden, airy sweetness you rarely find in the line. The dry-down settles into a soft, creamy almond base that keeps the whole thing feeling smooth and surprisingly addictive.
Is it an everyday daily driver? Absolutely not. It’s too loud, proud, and quirky for a mundane Tuesday at work. But that is exactly why it works. It doesn't smell like every second guy in the room, making it an absolute blast for warm summer nights, weekends, or whenever you just want to stand out from the crowd.
Strip away the internet drama and you’re left with a genuinely fun, refreshing fragrance. It might not be your daily uniform, but when you want a scent that actually feels different, this bottle delivers the goods.

The original Pride edition was uplifting and beautiful, citrusy, floral and musky. This one is a total “Meh”

The fragrance is clearly being overhyped because of the bottle and name. Cut it out and stay objective.

New scent! Starts quite green, sharp. I find it weaker than the predecessor.
