Vanilla, Amber and Maté
Despite its name, Tè Nero doesn’t put the tea front and center. It’s primarily an amber vanilla fragrance, warm and sweet, with just a subtle hint of tea in the background that gives the whole composition an interesting twist.
On cardboard, it became quite sweet over time, but on my skin, it was a completely different story. There, it was drier, with the rose gradually coming through, adding a lovely floral note.
I think it’s best to test it on skin, as it reacts differently and reveals surprising aspects depending on each person’s skin chemistry. For my part, Tè Nero is really lovely.
EDIT : I'm editing my comment because, in reality, the maté is very noticeable - much more so than the black tea. It adds a green, almost herbal touch, along with a slight bitterness that helps tone down the sweetness of the vanilla and brings balance to the composition.
