Cheap Worker, as Good as His Boss
I like Boss Bottled and always have at least a small bottle of it around. It’s not necessarily my favorite scent, but it has a unique note, and I enjoy wrapping myself in this delicious aura from time to time.

Its cheaper counterpart, Gray Point from La Rive, is in no way inferior to the big Boss and comes dangerously close in terms of performance. The two fragrances are really very similar. Grey Point is slightly sweeter and a touch warmer, and the apples don’t come across as fresh as in Boss Bottled, but seem to be a bit more mashed. However, this difference is hardly noticeable from a distance. Unfortunately, both struggle with silage and longevity, falling to similarly low levels simultaneously.

Grey Point is another really well-made dupe from the well-known clone house La Rive. Anyone who likes Boss Bottled but hesitates to pay for the original can absolutely take the plunge here without risk. For around 6.00 euros, you get a lot of good fragrance for very little money, which is hardly distinguishable from the original.

Apple-like Placeholder for Heavyweights
I recently bought this fragrance more or less blindly. I had read the reviews on Parfumo, but the drugstore didn't have a tester on the shelf. Well, for just under six euros, I can take the risk of a wrong purchase, so I took it home. I started testing it, and my first thought was: apple. After half an hour: applesauce. After an hour until its very early fade: apple wine. Apple, no matter where you smell. I had to think about apples so often and for so long that the word "apple" eventually started to sound strange to me (just like now while writing this comment). The scent becomes borderline-unpleasant, but not more than that, as it fades after a few hours. You can clearly smell that it is roughly put together in accordance with the price, yet it is still friendly to the nose. The bottle is ... normal. The sprayer is very generous. A good, inexpensive option for when you want to "show up" instead of "arrive" somewhere. I won't buy it again, though.

Recommended Dupe of Boss Bottled
First of all: I LOVE Boss Bottled and I am particularly critical of supposed dupes.

I have been wearing Grey Point as an office scent for two years now, either alone or together with Bottled, because the Polish twin is simply brilliantly made for me!

Now I wanted to compare them directly: right arm Boss Bottled and left arm Grey Point.
I wanted to determine whether Grey Point could even replace Boss for me.

They differ most strongly in the opening. Boss starts fruitier than Grey, which is already explained by their DNAs. Grey is initially more spicy-synthetic and a bit fruity. The top notes are equally strong.

After about an hour, I prefer Boss. It is more rounded in composition here, still fruitier, and the sillage is a bit stronger than that of Grey. Grey behaves here in a more angular, scratchy manner in the nuances and leans more towards freshness.

After about two hours, both have come very close. Grey now has a noticeably weaker, but still well-perceptible sillage.

In the third hour, they both smell almost identical, only that Grey is weaker.

From the fifth hour on, both gradually enter the drydown. Many fragrances only become really interesting for me in this phase.
I LOVE the drydown of both and could not tell them apart if I didn't know which one was on which arm.

At least on MY skin.

As a conclusion, I have recognized for myself that Grey Point is a very worthy and recommendable twin of Boss Bottled. I think it delivers excellent performance for its price and represents a good alternative to Boss for me in times of tighter budgets. Nevertheless, it cannot displace Boss from its pedestal or stand beside it. Boss remains just slightly in the lead because it is rounder and more present in the time frame that matters to me.

But, big praise to La Rive and a strong recommendation to buy.

The perfume is good, but the scent is lacking..
There’s a scent that you actually smell quite often. You notice it distinctly, but your brain somehow says "oh no". My mother has something like that. My girlfriend too, I just can’t say anything, otherwise I’ll be the entertainer for the evening. Yes - now I remember: In the cinema, in the theater, and at the training, there’s definitely always someone sitting next to me who smells just like that. And you have to endure it for a while and can’t escape...
Right now, I’m testing all the La Rive EDTs. And suddenly, there it was, this mysterious scent. I then googled what this is a dupe of and: Aha, Boss Bottled is the culprit. The thing that’s always being sold at a discount in the Kaufhof on the ground floor. Since I don’t know the original, it seems the dupe is quite well done here. I recognized the scent immediately. And I could now assign it. Nevertheless, I really doused myself with it yesterday in the office. No one complained. However, no one wanted to lick me either. I personally felt extremely uncomfortable. And the grey point lasts surprisingly long. The scent is not bad, but somehow penetrating and annoying. You can imagine the apple, because apples usually don’t smell. Just the mush when all sorts of creatures have taken over the fruit.
Of course, it’s my fault that I don’t like it. Bottled is extremely popular, not everyone can suffer from a taste distortion. But for me, g-point unfortunately won’t even end up as a room spray in the bathroom. I really don’t want to smell this scent. Recommendation: Better sniff it before buying. Air freshener says hello..

Boss Bottled for a Small Price
I became aware of La Rive fragrances through a TV report. After some research, it became clear which scent resembles which original fragrance. I first tried it on a test strip in a drugstore. I was very surprised, as it is quite similar to Boss Bottled. Only true connoisseurs will notice the difference, if at all. I also applied the scent on myself, and after a short time, it really smelled very similar to Boss Bottled. In my opinion, the top note differs slightly. 9 out of 10 people would not notice the difference.

For the price of 6-7 EUR, you absolutely can't go wrong. I give it a clear recommendation to buy, considering how many ml you get for the unbeatable low price. You can buy it and, for example, store it in the car to regularly refresh the scent. At this price, you can spray it until the doctor comes :))

Not a La Rive fan, but this one is almost identical to Boss Bottled in the drydown, respect!
Performance is very similar too.

A milder Hugo Boss for little money and a worthy and affordable substitute for Extase Pure Passion. Overall, a success.

This is also a good Bottled dupe! Absolutely recommendable for the low price & a real crowd-pleaser. Longevity & sillage are still okay.
