Fruity and fresh

Somehow Inspiration doesn't seem like an oriental floral, in fact it isn't floral at all, instead it's rather fruity/citrusy and fresh.

I was waiting patiently for the beautiful white floral blend in the heart of this scent, but it never appeared.

From the very beginning the pomegranate and mandarin orange notes are the standouts. I honestly don't mind this combination, however the pink pepper which starts to make its presence known after a few minutes, doesn't seem to blend well with the other notes, creating a jumbled and messy spicy fruit combination which in my opinion smells slightly off.

Thankfully the pink pepper note disappears quickly, yet the pomegranate and mandarin orange remain. The scent becomes rather powdery and soapy in the heart where the florals are supposed to be. The subtle fruity notes keep this fragrance from becoming too bland, however Inspiration doesn't develop any further. The scent is pretty much just fresh and pleasant, nothing too extraordinary here.

Unfortunately the lasting power is poor, 2 hours and it has practically disappeared. The best thing I can say about this fragrance is that it's plain but nice.

Crocodile Tears

Today was a day for gardening, and which fragrance would suit the home flora well?
I consulted my fragrance shelf, and the Lacoste label shed thick crocodile tears.
Oh, rightly so - because I had shamefully neglected inspiration for quite some time.
Moreover, the scent perfectly matches my outdoor outfit.
Fragrance pyramid or not - I perceive freshly mown grass.
Vibrant green and very invigorating.
A plump pomegranate competes with the refreshing mandarin.
The plum is deliciously aromatic, and the pepper is cheekily spicy.
Cheerfully, I run behind the lawn mower and inhale nature.
I duck under the jasmine bushes and carefully bend aside the peony branches.
All these aromas skillfully reflect inspiration.
Sandalwood and vanilla also waft into my nose, adding another feel-good factor.
As I return to the house in good spirits, my friend turns her head and asks about my lovely scent.
She wants a spritz too, which she naturally gets right away.

The inspiring crocodile is back by my side and no longer needs to shed tears.

Freshly Washed Crocodile

I bought Lacoste Inspiration after a quick test. But I don't regret it.

The scent starts off quite fruity with a hint of pepper and a slightly floral note. This floral note soon becomes more pronounced, sweet and powdery with jasmine and lily of the valley. Without knowing the fragrance notes, I thought of rose; well, something similar to rose is indeed included. So not too far off ;)
In the meantime, I keep thinking of laundry detergent, slightly soapy, very clean and freshly washed.
The base would be quite boring - musk, sandalwood, vanilla *yawn* - if it weren't for the lily. I have several perfumes with lily that I really like.

It's not exactly a super exciting scent, not particularly unusual, no, not particularly inspired either. Inspiration falls into the category of "clean and laundry scents" - it fits almost always, especially at work and in everyday life. Maybe not for an exciting evening with anyone, so not very erotic or sultry, but there are other perfumes for that. After all, crocodiles aren't exactly sexy...

That Inspiration is fruity can be inferred from a glance at the fragrance pyramid - pomegranate, mandarin, and plum right in the top notes, that's clear. And yes, the scent is fruity. It is a soft, gentle, fluffy fruitiness, not a fruit salad with crunchy pieces, but rather a fluffy fruit mousse, seasoned with vanilla sugar. I particularly detect the pomegranate, or rather, the grenadine syrup. I know that from summery, sweet cocktails, but there is no alcohol or cocktail bar atmosphere here, rather a children's birthday party.

However, I was surprised that so many flowers would come in, as the fruity notes still dominate for my nose. Yes, the scent becomes more elegant, powdery, and a tad woody due to the blossoms, but the sweet fruit mousse remains easily perceivable alongside a delicate floral note, all the way to the dry down.

I perceive the scent as pastel, which is why the light blue tint of the liquid and the light blue of the outer box fit so well. I believe children would also really like the scent.
However, the name is misleading; this nice, gentle, cuddly scent does not inspire, it invites more to dream, but I understand "Inspiration" a bit differently than these fluffy sheep clouds.
Cupcakes would also make a good comparison. A children's birthday party for adults, an idealized, sweet pastel dream.

I particularly enjoy wearing Inspiration on days when I am sensitive and harmony-seeking, avoiding confrontations or stress at all costs.

Airy and Relaxed Floriental

It was a blind buy based on the scent notes and still, I am thrilled. Upon the first spray, a peppery, spicy citrus note immediately surrounds you, which soon fades and transforms into a waterfall of white flowers. Both the top note and heart note, which are pleasantly appealing, only last a short time - they are not particularly surprising or special, but quite pleasant for a low-priced product. After that comes the base, which is very long-lasting, and that is an advantage, as these notes are a dreamy combination, enveloping you in a cloud of cotton, fluffy, cozy, clean. Since in my job (healthcare) strong perfumes are not appropriate - this is a great option - you smell softly perfumed and always like you've just showered.
I would categorize it under: DG Light Blue/ Jil Sander Pure.
