L.12.12 Blanc Eau Fraîche Lacoste 2022

Small, very nicely designed bottle. Then comes a fresh, hard-to-describe scent that comes across as incredibly light. Grapefruit, lavender, ginger, and something earthy that I just can't pinpoint. This one is perfect for summer, without appearing ordinary or cheap. Well done, nothing to complain about. Respect, Lacoste. For the price, a purchase without hesitation.

I really like the 12.12 line and have already stocked up on some of the colors.
I also enjoy the Blanc EdT - but I was also curious about the Eau Fraiche.
Listed as a men's fragrance, I would classify it as unisex.
It suits me well - and I'm not a tomboyish type.
Its fresh lightness reminds me of the Comedian Harmonists:

And this crocodile is also in the mood for a little dance, which I gladly let myself be swept away by.
Revitalizing citrus envelops me - refined with ginger.
The crocodile is not shy - but also not intrusive.
The lavender brings calm to the fragrance, accompanied by softly smoky cedar and green vetiver.
A cheerful, harmonious scent that is flattering for both men and women.
I give this friendly crocodile some affectionate strokes.

A good citrus/fresh summer fragrance doesn't always have to be niche, expensive, or unique. It primarily needs to feel confident, pleasant, and refreshing in a hot summer context!

The Lacoste L.12.12 Blanc Eau Fraîche Eau de Toilette embodies exactly these last-mentioned qualities. Sure, you won't find a major revolution/innovation here, but the perfume doesn't really do anything wrong either.

Citrus and ginger come together without smelling sharp, creating a refreshing opening. The latter can give the impression that the lemon smells more chemical than natural. However, that doesn't bother me. Additionally, a bitter, somewhat non-fruity green apple and lavender join in. This plays very well into the overall concept and adds a bit of vacation feeling with the Mediterranean flower, which I associate with the southern French region of "Provence." Woody notes from the base remain subtle in the background. In a positive sense, because one wants to maintain the freshness for as long as possible.

Speaking of as long as possible... the longevity is acceptable to good for a citrus/fresh scent. There are definitely worse ones, and comparably few that are significantly better. The sillage is initially very strong and remains okay as it progresses. This isn't a problem either, as the affordable price allows for plenty of sprays to be used. The bottle is accordingly just average, and the cap is made of plastic.

All in all, this perfume is my discovery for this summer! Completely underrated and unfortunately far from broad attention, this will likely remain a hidden gem that you must try. Please consider it during your next visit to Douglas/Müller/etc. I've only received good remarks from my surroundings so far.

Many years ago, I was a big fan of the Lacoste men's fragrances. My winter signature at the time was "Eau de Lacoste L.12.12 Blanc (Eau de Toilette) | Lacoste" and I find that this one offers a good summer variant where you can also catch a hint of the old DNA.

I took this scent home on a fragrance strip and left it, along with a few others, on my desk for a few days. Every time a whiff of this fragrance passed by me, I wanted to know immediately what it was because I really liked it and had never encountered anything like it before that appealed to me.

The citrus note is present for me, but not as strongly perceivable as others describe and is rather in the background. Instead, the fragrance quickly has a fresh/green quality for me and reminded me strongly of tea (even though this is not noted in the fragrance pyramid) and relaxation. I have worn it even at 38 degrees plus, and it was never overpowering. It works well by the lake, in everyday life, or when you're out in a bar on summer evenings. I can't understand all the bad reviews, as it lasts incredibly long for me, especially for a summer fragrance in the lower/mid price range. Normally, I become relatively nose-blind to summer scents quite quickly, but I can perceive this one over hours and even smelled it on my shirts the next day. I've already received many compliments for it :)
Later, I also discovered my beloved "Imagination | Louis Vuitton," which also has a great teen note for me, but if I had to choose between the two, I would definitely choose L.12.12 Blanc Eau Fraîche simply because it costs significantly less and the performance is much better for me.
This fragrance will definitely be back with me next summer as soon as my current bottle is empty.

I hadn't really considered Lacoste when it comes to perfume. However, I happened to come across this nice white bottle while testing, and I was truly positively surprised, as I didn't expect much.

A beautifully fresh, citrusy opening that fades quite quickly. After a short time, the apple comes through nicely - a pleasant sweetness, quite strong, but definitely not overpowering - rather fresh-sweet. You can already clearly notice the Ambroxan, but not in a negative way. Over time, it becomes a bit drier, without losing the sweetness and freshness.

The balance between sweet and fresh with a slight fruity touch is well achieved here - for the price point, a lot is happening in this scent, and it is not so easy to grasp and break down.

The title actually fits well, but there is much more to it than just a typical shower gel freshie. The descriptions in the reviews about what one smells are quite diverse - and I can definitely agree with that.

Longevity and sillage - both are positive for the expectations regarding fresh scents.

If I had to break it down, I would say: fresh - sweet - fruity in that order. Testing it out is definitely worthwhile. The sweet apple might lean a bit towards Boss Bottled, but only very distantly; I really can't think of a direct comparison.

Testing it is definitely worth it; I have not regretted the purchase.
