An alternative to the JPG Paradise Garden
When the Le Beau Paradise Garden came out, I tested it straight away.
I didn't think it was bad or incredibly good.
It was a solid designer who does little wrong.
With the Najdia Intense, Lattafa launched a dupe to Paradise Garden last year.
Unfortunately, I can't compare them directly, but from what I remember, they are not one to one alike.
The JPG is simply smoother and of higher quality.
With the Lattafa, I perceive a strong minty note in the opening, which I don't remember in this form when I tested the JPG.
Add to that ginger and somehow I would have said lemon.
But according to the fragrance pyramid, it's pineapple and apple.
Could also work, but then both in very fresh and the apple probably more in fresh/sour.
Coconut is completely missing here compared to the OG.
Nevertheless, there is something slightly tropical about it.
This feeling is reinforced by the maritime notes.
This makes the fragrance aquatic and perfect for summer.
Lavender and musk come through well at the end.
However, both notes do not really have a high-quality effect.
What remains is a fresh, slightly sweet aquatic that is reminiscent of Paradise Garden, but in my opinion is at best an alternative and not a good dupe.
H/S both good mediocrity.
However, the performance is more than sufficient for summer.
And it's definitely a men's fragrance, to get that out of the way at the end (M80%/20%W).
My conclusion: I would rather stick with the original.
But if you don't have the money and want that JPG PG feeling, then the Lattafa is definitely an option.
I'm not really convinced by the scent myself, but I've smelled worse.
Still no recommendation to buy from me.
