A very nice fresh vanilla

'Les Senteurs Gourmandes' are simple and cheap, and aim to make a good fragrance without fancy aroma chemicals. With 'Vanille Pamplemousse' they succeeded. Out of 5 scents that I tried from this line, this one is the best. The scent is simple to describe: It starts with zesty grapefruit combined with a pleasant vanilla. The grapefruit disappears slowly and the vanilla (with some residual freshness) remains. Simple. The longevity is not very good. But this zesty fresh vanilla smells so nice!

Lemon Cake Batter

~ Inspiration ~
In a swap, I received a small sample of this. I have already encountered one or two fragrances from the brand Les Senteurs Gormandes.

~ Bottle ~
The bottle is designed simply and elegantly. The name is printed on the white label with a small vanilla flower in the lower right corner.

~ Fragrance ~
It immediately reminds me of grated lemons in cake batter. Unfortunately, I don't perceive the vanilla very strongly...

~ Longevity ~
On my skin, it lasts about 3-4 hours (a bit longer on clothing and hair). You can use several sprays since it is a subtle, unobtrusive scent.

~ Occasion ~
Citrusy-fresh, it fits well into the warmer days of spring, summer, and autumn.

~ Conclusion ~
I had hoped for a more vanilla-forward scent that has just a hint of lemon - this one is rather the opposite...

pleasant vanilla summer scent!

Vanille Pamplemousse is a fragrance that I can really imagine wearing in the summer when it's hot :)) It starts off citrusy with grapefruit, I would say wonderfully fruity and juicy at first, without being bitter at all, followed by lime, where I mostly perceive the peel.. Bourbon vanilla is also immediately present, a bit creamy and milky I would say ;) Furthermore, I think I briefly catch a whiff of a small amount of cinnamon, which then quickly fades away! Actually, not much changes until the base note, which I find a bit disappointing. The citrus notes diminish after a short time, this beautifully fruity and juicy aspect, unfortunately.

What remains is a delicately scented bourbon vanilla, with slight citrus notes/peel (lime, grapefruit) and a light touch of white musk.
The longevity is not that great for me personally. The fragrance fades quite quickly (I think more of an EDC)! Nevertheless, it is a very pleasant scent ;)

Testing Vanille Pamplemousse is still worth it!

Les Senteurs Gourmandes/vanille pampelmousse

A beautiful and very fresh scent that offers a pleasant citrus freshness. The fruitiness of both lime and grapefruit is clearly recognizable, and there is also a hint of flowers detectable. I can hardly, if not almost not at all, catch a whiff of vanilla.
A lovely fragrance for spring and hot summer days!
