Yoghurt Gummy Candies
I tested a fragrance from Les Senteurs Gourmandes for the first time about six months ago, which unfortunately did not convince me at all, and the scent remained at an average score of 6.0 points. Maybe I just got a rather mediocre fragrance, so after more than six months, I am commenting on another LSG scent now, hoping that this one performs a bit better.
In terms of content, the fragrance doesn't sound bad, as plum and berries sound delicious, along with vanilla, which suggests powdery softness. So it's all something that you ladies might certainly enjoy… well, at least I think so :D
Let's see how the fragrance smells.
The fragrance:
It starts off quite sweet and fruity. At first sniff, the scent reminds me of gummy candies filled with jelly or yogurt. Then you can smell a bit of the berries, and the plum is present too, but the fragrance still has a candy-like scent for a while. Which is somehow quite nice.
Slowly but surely, the vanilla comes to the forefront, which, as mentioned above, makes the scent more powdery. The musk brings a slightly "darker" sweetness and somewhat diminishes the candy-like character of the fragrance. Combined, the scent even smells a bit like the jasmine it's named after. And the plum becomes a bit more noticeable as the berries slowly fade away. Meanwhile, a light, creamy candy-like scent lingers in the background, which is eventually replaced by woody notes over time.
The sillage and longevity:
The sillage is slightly better than average, but neither particularly strong nor weak. It will be somewhat noticeable without leaving too large a scent cloud.
The longevity is also rather average at about six hours.
The bottle:
The bottle is cylindrical, clear, and filled with pink fragrance liquid. On the front, there is a square label displaying the name, logo, etc. The brand is printed on the bottle above the bottle. The cap is black and also cylindrical. A bit simple, but quite okay. It reminds me of the bottles of Dior's Privée fragrances.
Well, I don't find the fragrance bad in itself, but it's not that great either. It is quite a sweet scent and, as mentioned, reminds me of delicious candies filled with fruity yogurt, whose contents, if you're not careful, might shoot out when you bite into them and possibly hit people nearby, he he.
It is suitable for warmer days, as it is not particularly heavy despite its sweetness and could be used not only as a daytime or casual scent due to the (above) average sillage but even as an evening scent, although I would still stick to using it as a casual fragrance.
So, it is a bit better than my last fragrance from LSG, but still remains at an above-average level. Nevertheless, I think it could appeal to some here, and I recommend giving it a test.
