Dried Fruit Vanilla Candy
I have now tested a few Les Senteurs fragrances and I must say, none of them have impressed me so far. I haven't experienced any bad scents, but each fragrance was boring, quite insignificant, and simply not worth mentioning.
Whether Vanilla Apricot can change that and offer a more pleasant scent, we will see shortly, or rather, you will read it shortly while I have to hold my nose out for you for the scent :D
The scent:
The fragrance basically starts with all the listed notes at once. When you sniff the scent, you smell vanilla. Sniff again, and suddenly it smells of the fresher citrus fruits. And with another sniff, you can perceive the apricot. Then all the notes blend back into a whole, but the main note here is, as always, the vanilla, with the apricot in the background. The citrus fruits fade away too quickly.
Now and then, you get a feeling as if you were chewing on a fruit candy with yogurt filling, as it occasionally smells like that.
The sweet notes smell a bit synthetic, the apricot gradually turns into a dried fruit, and the scent overall just smells nice, but nothing more. A little later, it almost becomes a pure vanilla scent, as all the other notes recede into the background.
The sillage:
The sillage is above average. It will be pleasant to smell, as the projection does not weaken quickly.
The longevity is quite good at just under ten hours. It probably lasts even longer.
The bottle:
The bottle is cylindrical and clear. The fragrance liquid is yellow. There is a square label on the bottle with the name of the fragrance on it. The brand is printed on the bottle above the label. The cap is also cylindrical and black. All in all, it's a bit simple, but okay.
Well,… unfortunately, I have to inform you that the scent is only "nice," but simply has nothing special to offer. It mainly smells of vanilla, which might please vanilla lovers, although now and then a slight synthetic sweetness rises from the fragrance. Additionally, at the beginning, it briefly smells of gummy candies, which could be due to the fruity apricot.
Otherwise, the fragrance is not particularly heavy, but it’s not very light either, so I would describe it as an all-rounder that can be worn at any time (well, now at a devilish 50° Celsius, it is indeed too heavy here…). It is best suited as a daytime and leisure fragrance, as it is a tad too weak and somewhat too unremarkable for going out.
Vanilla enthusiasts might want to take a look, while everyone else doesn’t need to sacrifice an arm or wrist for it, so just for a test, of course :D
