A bit intoxicated...maybe the balsam. But the longevity is huge
This Is a strange scent.
Frankincense Is dominating for at least 1/2 hours then for all the rest (maybe 10 ...also the day after so 20 hours) i was able to smell just a lot of roses.
Montale Is a great brand, by the way, but from this bottle i expected more...Just tried in a shop but i wont buy, the scent Is intense and longevity is crazy.
Maybe i would suggest this one for ladies due to the floral part, but also of you are looking for a good combination incense/roses...still strange because i think is only perfect for the church.

Ordinary world of oud and roses
Warm blend of roses and oud, but rather average if compared to other releases of the same house.

Well, i can say its just an ordinary roses+oud combo. In the late drydown it becomes a little dusty - dusty roses.

Sillage is okay, projection medium and lasting power weak for a Montale.

BANG AND BOOM ... DAMASCUS!
Unfortunately, this headline fits all too well with the current situation in Syria. It is an incomprehensible tragedy! I wish everything could be as wonderful and heavenly there as this fragrance! However, I primarily mean the sillage, the intensity, and the longevity of Aoud Damascus. A true fragrance aura is conjured around and on your body. The Orient calls!

Here, at least in terms of the fragrance development that AD takes on me, the rose clearly plays the absolute leading role - a bright rose, an intense rose, a wonderfully natural rose. Although I have no other experiences with rose fragrances, this is exactly how I imagine a rose perfume par excellence. The incense, which I would have liked a bit more of, I only perceive very subtly when sniffing intensely on myself, and regarding the eagle wood, I also lack the expanded horizon of experience.

As the rock classic by the band Poison goes: "Every rose has its thorn ..." - The thorn that particularly pricks me with this rose, with this fragrance, is the one that likely defines the limited suitability of Aoud Damascus for men. If we were in the Orient, I wouldn't hesitate for a second to wear this perfume from time to time, but in our latitudes, that might be rather difficult or at least more than bold. Let's see what I make of it ...

I really like the smell of roses, but as I have already admitted, I have little experience with corresponding perfumes. Perhaps the experts among you can send me a few tips regarding rose fragrances suitable for men. But it could also be that a gentleman can indeed smell "rosy" ... Unfortunately, I don't know.

In summary, I say: Aoud Damascus is divine! Ladies in love with roses must definitely test it (and grab it)! Bold gentlemen - go for it! But definitely dose it with a lot of sensitivity!

I was almost inclined to count this among the countless Montale disasters, but the musk hairspray note makes it classically good.

Rose Oud the 81st. That makes all my shutters go down. Neither time nor desire to find the tiniest deviations from the other 80.

Starts with a sharp oud note like hot glue ("Moon Aoud"), after 5 min...many fine delicate roses with a slight soapiness. Clean elegance!

A short, striking oud signals what’s to come. Roses with a whip, fierce, harsh, and intense. Feels very unbalanced.

Sweet, oriental, soap. A strange mix that doesn't smell too bad. But for this price, it could smell better. Montale Mitte
