not as fruity as you might think
I bought this because I was craving a pear perfume. I hardly detect pear in this. It is all clove, sandalwood, and musk to me. Together, these notes seem more fitting for a candle or incense, not a perfume on skin. Longevity is great; it sustained a 30-minute shower with a light pouf scrubbing.

Doesn't age well
While it does open in a big pear explosion, it's not fresh. It reminded me more of a "pears in wine" dessert (with too much emphasis on the "wine" part). Not the good kind of wine. Super sweet, sugary, yet very sharp and alcoholic.

Once the pear dissipated a little, I was immediately hit with a suffocating sweet cloud of my childhood church's smell. Carnations. I don't know what made the church ladies back in the day think that overspraying a carnation-based perfume would help them seduce the priest, but I'm afraid I will have an antipathy to this flower forever now.

I gave up and scrubbed it off after an hour of unpleasant memories and vague disgust, around the time when base notes started peeking through and transforming the composition into my grandmother's musty closet.

Wild Pears
Pear is rarely found in the fragrance pyramid and even less often smelled in the perfumes themselves. It used to be occasionally used in women's fragrances, but even then only very peripherally. "Wild Pears" was on my testing list just for that reason. Here, the sweet fruit, which always stands in the shadow of the apple, both in reality and in olfactory life, must not only serve as a supporting role.

"Wild Pears" is the must-test fragrance for pear fans. If there are any. But for my taste, there was more potential here. Or perhaps the pear, like the strawberry, is simply difficult to translate olfactorily in a stylish way. One prefers to eat them rather than smell like them. Who knows. But "Wild Pears" cannot be the ultimate in this area. It can't have been. I refuse to believe it.

"Wild Pears" smells like Nivea - Limited Edition - Pear. This cream edition doesn’t actually exist, but it would probably smell something like this. "Wild Pears" is not a pure fruit scent, although an earthy-chemical, annoyingly slightly pungent pear is clearly the core of it all. Clove at the beginning and later lily of the valley make the fragrance appear very feminine, hand cream-like, and soft. Restless but unfortunately also for quite a while. If it didn’t sting and seem so unnatural, it would be great. As it is, it remains okay. Maybe it’s my skin, maybe it’s the fragrance. But in my opinion, one should be able to do more with pears. Even in a perfume. This one feels like a wild quick shot. Elegant is different.

Bottle: enough has been said about the bottles, and there isn’t much more to say. Why don’t they write the fragrance on the samples/Mini-TZ?!
Sillage: medium loud
Longevity: Montale rarely disappoints - 7-9 hours

Conclusion: a floral-synthetic pear cream that gets on my nerves quite quickly. This rarely used fragrance material deserves a finer scent. Even if "Wild Pears" is anything but bad. I just expected so much more...

Mr. von Ribbeck...
... in Ribbeck in Havelland - a pear tree stood in his garden ...

I had to think of this beautiful Fontane poem when I read the title Wild Pears.

And I am enveloped by a complete pear tree with the first spray.

But unfortunately, this is very synthetic and does not fit at all with the heartwarming poem.

Unfortunately, no art - but artificial.

Loriot fits better here: My sister - is called Polyester....

Even the lily of the valley seems to be made of wax - just like the entire scent appears to be waxy coated.

I have experienced a pear much more authentically in other fragrances.

The other ingredients disappear in the synthetic pear fog.

Here, unfortunately, neither blessing nor the hand - of von Ribbeck in Ribbeck in Havelland is offered.

I would rather wash my sprayed hand, because this Montale unpleasantly stings my nose and signals a headache.

Wild Pear Celebrates a Swinger Party
At the beginning, everyone is still uptight. There’s a bite of warm pear cake with a wonderful vanilla aroma. As that is almost gone, pear soda is served, probably with a kick, because after a short time, naked pears are sitting in a wooden tub with a cream bath to party animalistically. However, not all night, just for 2-3 hours.

Somehow nice to have a pear swinger party, I could really imagine that happening more often.

Wow…super juicy fruity pear at the start. Then some flowers on a creamy sandalwood and sweet vanilla base. Nothing wild here.

Why is this rated so poorly?!
Very pretty pear scent that occasionally shifts between sweet and sunscreen. The most beautiful pear!

First, the strongest pear I've ever smelled, then it becomes powdery; the lily of the valley in the heart and the pear always resonates: Wild!

Soft, airy pear scent, has a slightly creamy skin feel. Longevity is unfortunately poor on me, not a candidate for purchase, but nice for "well-groomed" every now and then.

First ripe pear.
After a few seconds, candied pear on musk.
After a few minutes, sweet jelly fruit salad with flowers.

My absolute favorite summer pear, fresh, juicy, not mushy, buttery, fine sandalwood, clear musk, I don't find lily of the valley ;)

Fruity, juicy pear transitions into lily of the valley with a creamy musk-sandalwood. Vanilla adds softness. Clean, fresh, and long-lasting.

Seconds of juicy pear. For a long time, Eugenol-dominated delicate flowers with clove-preserved pear. 3, beautiful lightly fruity-creamy sandalwood.

A show of sympathy for former Chancellor Kohl? Not a crisp Abate, but a mushy Williams that bathes in musk. Paradox: I'm waiting for Oud.
