Musky set honey

I really enjoy this. It's a true honey, like cloudy set honey, with the pollen type musk, a little like Tokyo Milk - Honey and the Moon but less sweet.
I don't really get what's Arabian about it. The date notes probably deepen it and make it richer but is indistinguishable. It's a well balanced honey musk, made a little fresher with bergamot and slightly floral due to the white flowers and pollen.
More feminine leaning.
I think overall it's a really well balanced fragrance.
Arms length projection and fairly long lasting.

definitely would appeal on those loving orange blossom

Arabians Musk has perhaps a misleading name: the connection is made undoubtedly to one of the mainstays of the brand, namely Arabians Tonka.
Well I am sure saying that both fragrances have nothing in common, and personally they transport me into two completely different dimensions.
Arabians Musk is the smell of oriental nights, of a walk surrounded by the aroma of orange blossoms, with their bitterish scent mingling with a barely noticeable sweetness of dates and notes that slowly become cleaner and cleaner.
I think it has a very defined personality basically, it is a polarising fragrance, which definitely would appeal on those loving orange blossom and slightly oriental vibes, with a clean drydown but keeping the basic essence profile of the fragrance.
A truly pleasant, elegant and decisive perfume.

Sampling Montale Arabians Musk, released in 2024, the second flanker to Arabians (after Arabians Tonka), the original being one of my very favorites of the line.

Like Arabians Tonka, Arabians Musk is a significant departure from the original, involving some honey and fruity but mostly a sharp, musky, woody blend that’s fortunately not too intense.

I think it’s pretty well done, quite bright with the infusion of honey and dried fruits into a sharp woody experience, frankly better than what I would expect from the note breakdown, but it probably does not need to be connected to Arabians in name, as I do not sense much of a connection at all, scent-wise. It performs quite robustly, too.

I doubt I’ll pursue it further myself, as its sharpness does not work for me as well as, say, the sharpness in the original (and quite different) Arabians.

more Arabians than Musk

Caught my attention just from the name. At first, it definitely feels more “Arabians” than “Musk.” It’s a pretty loud fragrance, but definitely pleasant if you’re into those notes. Honey and orange blossom really stand out, along with tonka bean.
After about half an hour, the musk side kicks in and cleans up those warm vibes a bit, but paired with these notes (especially the lingering tonka bean), it’s not really my thing. Still, it’s really nice!! It’s a clean, Arabian-inspired scent.
Totally different from the typical Montale DNA — that’s for sure!
Perfect for cold months, but I’m starting to rediscover how some warm fragrances can actually work great on summer evenings too: cozy and intense.

As with the rest of the line, concentration is EDP and retail pricing is $180 for100ml, sold in the US via boutiques like Olfactif and Ministry of Scent, but also via the grey market, as is generally the case with most releases from this house.

At first, Alien without jasmine & cashmere wood, but with plenty of vanilla. Then it reminds me of LDBS by Kilian. In the dry down, baby powder or wet wipes.
