Booze, Balance and Brilliance
Crafted by the "Dali of Perfumery", Baraonda was released in 2016 as an extrait de parfum and has steadily earned its place among the most revered boozy fragrances. In my opinion, it is up there with Tony Iommi Monkey Special and the best among Kilian's repertoire.

From the first spray, Baraonda envelops you in a warm haze of honeyed whiskey. This accord is rich and nuanced, more like a fine single malt rather than a shot glass... and to be clear, we are talking about a mellow scent. Some reviewers claimed that people might think that you had a few drinks, by smelling your "aura"... I find this greatly exaggerated!

As the scent develops, the journey becomes more complex. Fruity nuances (possibly apple or red berries) peek through, adding a subtle sweetness that balances the alcohol. Then the woods: dry, resinous, and slightly smoky. Ambroxan comes in too with a "contemporary", musky sheen, while a rose note adds a floral softness that rounds the composition beautifully... and effectively makes this fragrance 100% unisex.

Baraonda finally settles into a warm and woody skin scent with a lingering trace of that initial whiskey warmth. In my opinion, it is versatile and wearable, despite having a boozy opening.

Performance is on point. It has a moderate projection with good longevity. 8+ hours on skin, longer on fabric. Seasonality wise, anytime but Summer.

All in all, Baraonda remains a masterclass in balance and atmosphere. It’s a nearly perfect fragrance for those who appreciate unisex fragrances and would impress people who are new to Gualtieri's work.

Whiskey bar
This is a realistic whiskey perfume, but what sets it apart is the sweet creaminess that mellows the dominant whiskey throughout and takes this fragrance to great heights and qualities.

In my opinion, this perfume is not suitable for every situation, to be more precise, it is suitable for winter and autumn, night outs, dark bars, quality restaurants...

A perfume that is a must for whiskey lovers.

8.5/10.

Whisky delight
This is a wonderful, unique scent that made me smile as soon as I inhaled it.
It opens with sweet whisky, then musk and some subtle wood notes. As a whisky drinker I can say its like a sherry cask-aged quality whisky.
A musky rose then joins the whisky and the two, as unusual a pairing as it sounds, smell wonderful together. The woody drydown is a little generic and disappointing after what's come so far.
It’s very concentrated, so you’ll only need one or two sprays. It will last all day. The boozy notes mean it’s not a work scent - your colleagues will think you have a drinking problem - but it’s perfect for a quiet night out with friends or a partner.
It's definitely a cold weather fragrance, so overall it's versatility is limited.

Rose petals in a whiskey glass!
Baraonda is a beautiful creation by the perfumer alessandro gualteri. It opens up with a strong whiskey note that later on gets more smooth. The light rose also makes this perfume a bit more floral which makes it more likeable to all audiances. It lasts around 12 hours on me which is amazing. Beautiful bottle and fair price. Would recommend this to a perfume lover who enjoys boozy scents!

From Single Malt into honey bourbon
Wow! In the top I smell gorgeous single malt whiskey - really realistic! These fruity malty notes tone back after 15 min and it gets sweeter and creamier. It somehow morphs from single malt into honey bourbon.
What a transformation! The longevity is nothing to complain about along with decent projection.
Its a magical elixir for colder days, anight out with boys or just enjoying life at home after hard day at work. The scent along with the special and high quality packaging makes this one of the most attractive Niche scents I ever came across. Cheers guys

One of the most dominant and realistic whiskey scents out there, but it's not just whiskey.

After the boozy opening, it reminds me of Intense cafe.

One spray and she'll turn her head, two sprays and she'll be in your bed, three sprays and that's all she said.

Boozy and loud, like a messy and chaotic party in the finest club of the town in a cold winter night.

Beautiful and hedonistic floral whiskey scent, injected with sex, spice and mystery. One of the most 'wearable' Gualtieri. Excellent

I don't get much of a whiskey/booze vibe. It's extremely smooth, creamy, wheat-like sweet and a little floral. Super easy to wear and enjoy.
