A new perfume by Parfums d'Elmar for women and men, released in 2024. The scent is gourmand-sweet. The longevity is above-average. It is still in production.

Nuts, Nuts and even more Nuts!

A Gourmand Specialty
It was a cool evening when I first wore Dalika on my skin. Outside, it was gently raining, the streets shone in the lantern light, and the world seemed to slow down for a moment.

A single spray was enough, and immediately a warm, gourmand spectacle unfolded. Peach and caramel whispered sweetly and seductively, like the first bite of a dessert that you really don’t want to share. After a few minutes, praline and almond joined in, and suddenly I was no longer alone in the room-the scent was like a hug, soft, delicious, almost sensual.

But the real wonder happened when the base revealed its depth: rum and dark chocolate shimmered like candlelight in an old glass, accompanied by the warmth of sandalwood and the smoky earthiness of vetiver. I sat by the window, listened to the rain, and felt as if I were in an old library, where someone was just pouring a glass of fine liqueur.

Dalika was not just a perfume, but an experience: it told stories of indulgence, of secret moments for oneself, and of the beauty of small luxury moments. When I later left the room, the scent accompanied me like an invisible cloak-even outside, in the cold rain, I felt warm and secure.

Wonderful Gourmand (is it the best?)
Well, I am generally a fan of gourmand fragrances, but most of them are just unbearably sweet, and therefore I think it's difficult to find one that is really good. Ultimately, I finally found a perfumery near me that also offers Parfums d'Elmar, as I had wanted to test these scents for a long time. In the process, I also tested Dalika and I am truly convinced. At first, it smells sweet, but also slightly fruity and spicy. Later, it remains sweet, but it is a very pleasant sweetness from the praline and vanilla. Towards the end, it becomes a bit woodier and slightly darker. For me, definitely a top release from 2024. Longevity and sillage are also top!

Parfums d'Elmar always smells good
Dalika really appeals to me.
I'm not surprised by Parfums d'Elmar. Across the board, all the fragrances are really good.
Admittedly, all the scents are somehow inspired by other existing fragrances.
I find that a bit unfortunate, but nonetheless, they all work with their own twist and smell really great.

Dalika starts off wonderfully sweet.
This slightly caramelized tonka bean is truly delicious. Along with that, I immediately get hints of pralines and a bit of almond.
I also want to mention the peach, as I think it comes across really well. I really like this slightly fruity peach twist.

Over time, the scent develops more depth.
Other notes, like patchouli, join in. The patchouli has a minimal earthy character, but really minimal. Otherwise, it is very smooth and comes across extremely pleasing.
Additionally, there is a pleasantly chocolaty impression, as well as a slightly tipsy rum note.
The rum really stands out and fits excellently.
I generally like rum accords. Towards the end, it gains beautiful, creamy woody facets.

The scent is wonderfully unisex and also has an appealing performance.
It lasts well and projects nicely.

Dalika - what's so chic about it?
My goodness…! What is that? The personified elegance in nut, with something like - rolls in between?! Wow! I love it :O

My newbie nose perceives the scent as a whole in confusion once again, until I read up on what’s actually in it, and have one "Ahh, I see" moment after another.
However, all the aromas show themselves from their best sides: The cocoa, which dusts the beautiful cheapie Byzantium too dry, doesn’t do that here at all. “Dark chocolate,” usually one of my no-go notes, has disguised itself beyond recognition as a dark secret. (Once again, it holds true: there are no no-go notes.) “Praline,” on the other hand, once struck me as a kind of synonym for “vaguely sweet disgusting chemistry.” But I was thoroughly mistaken: yet another scent with this component that completely captivates me. My rolls association, however, is probably due to some roasting aromas that are either not listed or only seem to appear from the interplay of the other nuances. Even the sweetness is not only subtle but - ahem - highly noble. This extravagant mega-nobility is not stupidly exaggerated. In other words, thankfully, you don’t have to limit the occasions for wearing it to film premieres/receptions with the Pope/openings:
For all its high-born qualities, the noble subtlety and the familiarity of the nuances make Dalika quite suitable for everyday wear. Additionally, the sweetness, contrary to the classifications and what one might fear given the pyramid, plays at most a very small supporting role. - - Thankfully! I’ll say it like it is, this stuff is genius...

Dalika scratches the edge of perfection for me. Just a tad more wonderful, and I would once again have that occasional certainty that the scent is “too elegant for me” (let’s call it the Blessed Baraka effect ^^). Nevertheless, AND despite the clear unisex aura, I actually see the scent more on a handsome young man. - What else is there to say!
Longevity is sufficient at 6 hours, while sillage is good to very good, and that lasts until the end. However, for me, it’s a two to three spritz scent (which was a bit unusual at first, as I usually prefer one-spritz perfumes...) Typically, I start wearing it with one spritz, and add number two and three over the course of about 7 hours.
Well. If the beautiful bottle didn’t have that weird golden cap, I would get it. But you don’t have to own everything in bottle form right away. Besides, I already have frustration with a nut scent that comes with chestnut wood instead of almond, but still has enough nuttiness.

A sweeter Tony Iommi Monkey Special. Beautiful mixture of sweet, dark, nutty.

Spicy, nutty dark chocolate meshes well with woods+musk; no peach to my nose. Can really tell that it's *dark* chocolate which is cool.

Incredibly close to Black Phantom from by Kilian. Basically same price point. Choose your weapon. Owning both is redundant imo. It's good.

Nuts, chocolate, and rum - perfect combo. Reminds me especially at first of a more pleasant version of Baruti Perverso.

A lovely caramel
nut gourmand.
Initially very nutty,
becoming slightly fruity over time.
Despite the listed notes,
it's wearable and not too sticky.

Nuts, rum, patchouli, peach - extremely bothersome, smells unharmonious and persistent over time, and definitely outrageously overpriced.

Beautifully soft, nutty, sweet praline gourmand with peach shavings.
Unfortunately, the sillage is hardly noticeable on my skin.
