Leilani Parfums d'Elmar 2022

I got a decant of Leilani for testing as the notes piqued my interest and I must say it did not disappoint.

To me it opens as a creamy and slightly citrusy peach scent with just a hint of powdery florals humming in the background. When it dries down it becomes warmer and the florals become more prominent. The base notes provide a nice warmth and depth to the fragrance without getting really prominent in the scent profile.

I find it is a truly pleasant and very inoffensive scent, that you could probably easily choose as an everyday scent.

It reminds me a bit of Valaya Eau de Parfum but toned down and warmer and without the almondy notes of Valaya Exclusif. As I do own a bottle of the one and a travel size of the other I am hesitant to buy a full bottle of Leilani, as I do not feel they are different enough to have them all But I will definitely keep this in mind as a rebuy alternative as I think I might enjoy this more in the long run since Valaya feels a bit too "out there" for me on some days.

As for performance I got a solid 12h out of it without overspraying, so I'd say it's good value for money despite the heavy price tag.

If you get the chance to try Leilani, I would recommend to do so. It's beautiful.

Leilani or “celestial flower”.
A rich floral bouquet, soft as a cloud: finally an elegant and discreet fragrance of this kind, without forgetting the fact that it is so good that it gets noticed.
It's not suffocating, it's like being in front of all this wonder of nature with lots of greenery and in perfumes of this kind it's not a given.
Fresh, very suitable for spring or a warm summer evening.

This fragrance was on my wish list and now I have received a sample for extensive testing and found that I perceived the scent completely differently during my last test…
At the start, it was wonderfully creamy with peach, super soft and smooth.
Then, a few minutes later, unfortunately, it turned into a piercing fruit basket with musk that burns my nasal hairs. I wanted to like it so much, but I absolutely can’t stand the "Erba Pura | XerJoff" DNA anymore, and that’s what I get in full force for about 10 minutes.
The longevity is top-notch; I can't say anything about that.

A very feminine and very light fragrance. Everything feels light and flexible in this creation. It is this wonderful beginning of magnolia and orange and a beautiful peach that definitely does not overshadow everything else. This peach is very easy to sense and neither too sweet nor too intense like the complete creation.
Furthermore, this combination is accompanied by elegant green notes and birch and patchouli that soothe the whole and guide it in a rather fresh/green direction. The woods and the citrus are very gentle in the background to give everything a slight depth, but very softly.
It is a pleasant scent that does not dominate, that is not intrusive but still very beautiful and pleasant.
Since this is very gentle, the sillage is rather weak to okay, which is probably intentional so that all the notes do not overwhelm, but rather just a hint lingers in the air. Very feminine!

Sunset, warm sea breeze, palm trees, and carefree life on a dream island. These were my first impressions when I got to try "Leilani" by Parfums d'Elmar on my skin. Fruity, fresh, and with warm base notes, this fragrance is always my loyal companion. Rarely has a perfume touched me so deeply. An absolutely successful and harmonious blend, not overwhelming and with above-average longevity. Also a mood lifter on gloomy winter days!
