My mind in a painting
I'm repetitive, I know, but the sea is part of myself.
There are many of its interpretations, and some project me into real paintings, because yes, art and perfumes in my opinion are closely bounded.
Art with art, emotion, involvement.
In Hawaii the term Yaringa means "by the sea", and this is exactly where I find myself.
A warm beach surrounded by coconut trees, me alone, on the shore enjoying the freshness and beauty of what surrounds me.
Staring at infinity.
A fragrance with salty notes, with myrtle that is immediately highlighted by my skin, but which then (and this is one of those creations that must be waited for, because of the beautiful evolution), are made ethereal and wonderful by a fabulous coconut and then by aromatic hints and passion fruit, which round everything off.
Excellent persistence and sillage, it really gets many compliments. Really beautiful. Wear it even in the coldest seasons: it will comfort you and project you into paradise.

Tide After Tide
A glass of ice-cold coconut water in my hand. The waves, endlessly overlapping and teasing the shore. Gentle beads of light reflecting on everyone around me. Children laughing with the calls of seagulls. The breeze is mine, kissing me, fully accompanying me with whiffs of the salty ocean as I sit with my toes in the white sand, my back against a tall palm tree.

"This tree must be at least 50 years old," I look up slothfully at the tall leaves that seem a mile above me. Apparently, coconut palms can live up to 100 years. "I wonder how many coconuts it's made already..." I yawn. "Haleluia, Hawaii..."

Wait a minute, there aren't seagulls in Hawaii. As a matter of fact, I've never even been to Hawaii! I must be daydreaming, mixing in my own experiences of the beach after spraying Yaringa: salt water, coconuts, a hint of citrus and seaweed; it's all there and stays there. This is the power of this fragrance — the ability to generate a fantasy of beachful bliss.

The brand creator, Elmar Métry, describes Yaringa as such:
"Coming from the sea underwater with a snorkel, you don't smell anything... But then, you break the water, and you're in the tropics."

I live by a beach, so my favorite season is the summer. Granted, I haven't smelled too many aquatic fragrances yet. Still, when I discovered this one, I felt I didn't even need to keep looking for that perfect beach scent. I am light and lifted after just smelling the bottle, and then, actually spraying it? Now I'm floating! A whiff; no, four... Breathe it in. Absolutely refreshing!

I feel like Christian Carbonnel made Yaringa for me. It brings out childlike joy and nostalgia from summer breaks long past, but also a deep tranquility as though I'm on a vacation. This warm weather scent is a unique and unforgettable fragrance, and it lasts greatly for me. I haven't needed more than a couple sprays.

The bottle itself... Such an attractive, unique, and elegant trophy to display. Heavy to hold and wonderful to look at. Each crystal bottle of Parfums d'Elmar is hand-polished and emblazoned with the creator Elmar's family crest. These bottles have unique and heavy caps made of 24k gold-plated zamak. The luscious gradient of blue reinvigorates the feeling of being by the water.

My signature summer scent, perhaps even my favorite scent, paired with any warm weather outfits, but also very wearable by the pool.

THE Essential high sex appeal beach goer perfume for us, the discerning perfume douche
Yaringa Smells like sitting on a beach in Bali as a kid;
Watching the waves and tanned bikini clad women much older than myself and grinning.

Don't buy your 15th citrus or boring 'blue' perfume, get this!
This is one of the best smelling, most uplifting and unique summer scents
I can't stop smelling myself

It's very gently creamy, natural and refreshing while being super sensual and sexy
The saltiness is so refreshing and uplifting, like Bleu Turquoise but even softer and more sensual
The coconut and musk are so smooth and creamy that people will think you just have the best ever body scent

Yaringa perfectly balances the relaxing, sensual and magnetic feelings you get from wearing something like Musk Therapy,
With the high quality, unique and creative profile on par with Armani Prive Bleu Turquoise

I found out about this perfume ages ago and was instantly obsessed with it
The DNA sounded amazing, the bottle is gorgeous and I love d'Elmar

It's my only ever blind buy (it's impossible to smell this in Australia), but Yaringa smells even better than I hoped it would
It's so good, I've never smelled anything like this. Could not be more impressed

Lasts 10 hours on my skin with lovely intermittent sillage wafting around blessing my colleague's noses
Lasts FOREVER on clothes though
Fantastic stuff. Super high quality and one of my favourite perfumes in my collection

Airy Ocean vibes
Yaringa is one of the best ocean vibe scents I’ve come across. As someone who also grew up next to a beach, this is comforting to me. I get stunning sea/beach mineral vibes that smell fresh and airy. Yaringa conjures up a feeling of freedom, happiness and relaxation. It paints a picture of being out in the middle of the ocean somewhere on a boat, relaxing in the sun. My hair is soaked in salty sea water. I can smell faint whiffs of suntan lotion and the sea breeze in my face, and I’m sipping a passionfruit cocktail out of a coconut with no cares in the world. I love how it develops as it warms on the skin. I get fleeting whiffs that alternate between ocean breeze, coconut & passionfruit. I find the scent light, but very very long lasting and it does create a beautiful scent bubble around you. Perfectly unisex. This is an easy summer wear for me. 10/10!

Liver Sausage with Strawberry Jam
Liver sausage with strawberry jam

No, this is not my shopping list and not the menu selection of a restaurant. These are all examples of how well sweet and salty can harmonize together. Okay, I admit: these dishes are not necessarily crowd-pleasers.

Completely different is Yaringa - a wonderfully sweet-salty sea breeze with a few herbs and a truly unique vibe. Like "Join The Club - 40 Knots | XerJoff"'s high-flying son. Incredible and hard to describe.

The scent is linear in a positive sense and maintains this special maritime note from the first spray until it fades. A sweet-salty freshie with absolute signature scent potential. Longevity and sillage are decent, though this does not mean any compromise. Yaringa envelops you in a fresh, cozy way and occasionally wafts pleasantly to people in the same room without being intrusive even at close range. Like a.... yes, I have to say it again: salty-sweet sea breeze :-D

My tip: Spray it on your clothes or in your hair and you'll enjoy it much longer.

The bottle is of similar quality to Xerjoff - excellent, that is, but almost a bit plain for such a special scent. The outer packaging is - I have to say it so clearly - a disgrace for the price. The cheap Arab brands (Lattafa, Armaf, Al Zafaaran, etc.) are laughing to themselves, and Xerjoff is wrinkling its nose in disgust. Like an S-Class with faux leather seats - really saved at the wrong end. Guys, improve this! In this price range, it’s not just about the scent, but about the entire "experience".

The price... well. You get desensitized pretty quickly. In the past, I would have considered scents for 60 euros to be "expensive." Meanwhile, my personal perception has shifted somewhat, and I now see perfume "around 200 euros" as mid-range, and only when a "Roja" or "Xerjoff 1717" appears in the name do I get nervous.

Nevertheless, one must remain objective and reasonable: 255 euros for 60 ml is a really hefty statement, even for an Extrait de Parfum (30%).

You can smell good for a tenth of this price....

... But then you just won't smell like liver sausage with strawberry jam :-D

Incredibly unique. I get a cooling, almost menthol sensation that evokes a crisp sea breeze. The perfect amount of salt+kelp.

Absolutely not my scent. The algal note is way too strong for me. Very unpleasant.

"Fishy" seaweed note with sweet salty coconut. It's a matter of taste, some don't mind it, but I do. The theme is spot on, though.
