The Firstborn Among the Musk Brothers
Prada’s Highline series does not hold back. Many high-quality fragrances and of course a musk offshoot among them. There is a connection to Armani’s Musc Shamal, although more in the base. I discover at Prada:
Peach, earth, moon dust, powder, white soap, rose, textile cleaner, vanilla ice cream, super glue, Hansaplast bandage, gray woods, benzoin mist.
For me, it’s more asexual than unisex. It has a positive presence, yet it’s not even very loud! Worth €250? Maybe. Better than the secondborn Musc Shamal by Armani? A subtle yes! The musk family remains the musk family, and both are lovable, albeit from different parents. Armani has more of a dentist atmosphere and cooler chemistry.
Update: Fragrance purchased (-30%, oh you unholy Black Weekend). It is warmer and more pleasant than the Musc Shamal. Not as soapy and metallic. In short, the dear older brother. But maybe just adopted after all. Who knows for sure? They can live well side by side on my arms. Amen.
