“the beating of wings”
great parfum from Profumum Roma.
I have to say that l own almost all of them one of the best brands in the world.
It starts Sweet and exotic (cacao and citrus)
With a blend of orange flower and creamy vanilla,
And sometimes you smell a smokey myrrh.
Af first you would think this is a feminine one but later it gets more and more mescaline. Love this.
Longevity is strong, i have to say you will smell it 10/12 hours with a strong silage. I get a lot of compliments with this one.
Funny to know: battito d’Ali means “the beating of wings” or “the delicate fluttering of a passing butterfly”

Like a cacao vanilla soap with orange flowers
It feels green and soapy yet so good cacao and vanilla for me. Longevity is amazing. I have stored a test paper from Rome and even months later it smells amazing and so incredible long lasting. Good for all seasons.

Effervescent myrrh
This is a lovely, elegant, sweet fragrance. By far the sweetest fragrance I own, but there’s something about the treatment of myrrh that gives it an effervescent, cola vibe that is so pleasing. I don’t spray a lot, just a spritz or two so it doesn’t cloy and it’s delightful in warm weather. There’s just an occasional whiff of sparkling resinous, vanilla cola that keeps lifting my mood.
Orange blossom often goes screechy and soapy on me but not here. It’s not really even a separate note just seamlessly blended with the vanilla and maybe coconut and cacao though I can’t pick out the last too.
The Profumum Roma line is teaching me that it isn’t sweetness in perfumes that I hate, it’s the way most sweet perfumes are made that I hate. When they are put together without loud aroma chemicals and composed largely of lovely naturals, sweet perfumes are delightful.
Just an easy going, joyful and elegant wear.

The Scent of My Happiness
Some fragrances find you - not the other way around.

That's how it was for me with Battito D'Ali, which I would have never been interested in... if it hadn't been for an Easter raffle where I won a package with exciting samples!
I haven't been here at Parfumo for long, so it was a wonderful opportunity to get to know new fragrances, to test a colorful assortment of different scent directions. After the initial gasp at the sight of the samples, I started to sort them out; I like to have some structure. I read through all the fragrances here at Parfumo one by one, and when I got to Battito D'Ali, which was supposed to be a sweet gourmand, I thought right away: this is not my direction at all. A few months ago, however, as a lover of green fig scents, I discovered Ichnusa by Profumum Roma, a revelation!
So I decided to include this fragrance in my testing round because I find the brand interesting.

I sprayed it on a paper strip.
What was that? I know this smell, I know it! Where from? What is it?
I smelled it again.
Marseille! Nice? Sea. Sun! Flowers? Travel! Memory! But which one?
Why did this fragrance trigger such a rollercoaster in my head?
I couldn't figure out what it was that felt so familiar, so I set it aside for a moment and smelled it again in the evening.
It had to go on my skin, on a sunny day.
So I waited for the first warm spring Sunday and sprayed it on my wrist.

That was the biggest surprise I have ever experienced with a perfume.
I felt a strange sense of happiness within me. It was the scent.
I tried to detect individual notes, but I couldn't; it is a complete whole. There is orange blossom, which I love very much, but there is so much more.
I smell sunscreen, but as if it has merged with sun-warmed skin. I smell warmth, and a hint of flowers, like sometimes in Nice, when I passed by a small garden and that delicious scent of orange blossoms, jasmine, and unknown southern flowers wafted through the fence to me on the street.
I will probably always drift back to scents of southern France in my comments, but of all the places I have been able to travel to, I have never felt happier anywhere else. This sun, which does so well for me and my body, where I feel beautiful and somehow liberated.
All of that is contained in this scent for me, which is why I love it so much.
It doesn't actually smell sweet on me at all, but creamy. Not like oranges or lemonade or treats. Perhaps a fragrance unfolds differently depending on the wearer, adapting to their essence; that’s how it feels with this perfume.
The Profumum Roma fragrances are in a price range that is currently unattainable for me, but what would this community be without the many beautiful opportunities? And so I came to a half-full bottle that my beloved gifted me. The bottles from Profumum Roma perfectly match my aesthetic, and I really like their simple form and the fitting typographic design.
The sillage seems to be excellent; my boyfriend walks not beside me as usual, but rather a little behind me and sniffs. Even my best friend told me today at the breakfast table that whenever I move, a hint wafts over to her. On my wrist, it doesn’t hold as well as on my neck and décolleté, and considering that my skin quickly absorbs many fragrances, this perfume lasts all day for me.

Thank you very much to Verbena; I would have certainly discovered this scent much later otherwise.
No - the scent found me.
And brings a smile to my face and happiness to my heart.

Butterfly Effect in the Patisserie
Even though my focus yesterday was more on the lesser-known fragrances, my mind kept wandering back to the Profumum Roma cabinet or rather shrine. Here at home, thanks to Parfumo, I have a few samples from the brand that smell absolutely incredible; the previous tests have also been impressive. So, during this testing session, I couldn't resist applying a PR on my skin. This time, Battito d'Ali was allowed to leave its extremely high-concentrated oil trail on my wrist.

Battito is unmistakably a PR in terms of type and direction, yet it feels somewhat muted and perhaps even suitable for everyday wear. Clearly a gourmand, still stronger than most on the market and more at home in autumn and winter - however, somehow calmer and less of a punch in the nose. I hope this was not just my impression due to the imprint and expectations set by the previously tested sillage monsters of the brand.

The wingbeat begins directly in a very delicious way - I still don't feel that the similar backgrounds and ingredients of the PR fragrances are wearing off on me. Here, it is creamy cocoa powder with orange blossom. Truly delightful and flattering - one really has to be careful not to get bitten in the morning on the train, it smells so tempting. Then the scent settles faster than expected, and a smoky myrrh feeling comes in, grounding the fragrance. By now, everyone knows that this is also an adult gourmand, not a naive sugary scent that is only suitable for partying. The finale of this rather straightforward fragrance is fine vanilla, not much more. At times, it reminded me of an even better macadamia from Il Profumum.

Bottle: nice name, nice bottle, even if simple. But the presentation and design of the entire packaging nearly rivals the expensive Guerlains - which it should, as it is in the same price segment.
Sillage: PR cannot be quiet. But here, there is a bit of a throttle in it. However, it would still be captured by every flash. Just wouldn't directly lose your license - like with a Vanitas or Confetto.
Longevity: only the PRs leave such a 15-minute oil layer. And the scent lasted 8-9 hours on me - actually good, at the lower end for PR.

Battito is one of those fragrances that even people who get sick from the sweetness of the other PRs can test. I like it, but there are still better PRs, and the macadamia similarity makes me doubt spending €190 on it. Nevertheless, one of the most beautiful gourmands tested this year!

Battito d'Ali is just myrrh and orange blossom with sweetness. In the drydown, you get a bit of vanilla. Longevity is above average.

Soft myrrh, a hint of dark chocolate ganache, sweet-but-not-cloying vanilla, gentle florals, and something fruity I can’t quite pin down.

Finally we have Myrrh based scent which is not so heavy/dusty, but light, creamy and sweet! More feminine-leaning scent, nice performance.

This is smell of sun-tan oil, a bit like Terracota by Guerlain, but to be honest most of them have this white flower/cocoa scent. Beach!

A warm almost balsamic take on orange blossom. The cacao gives a extra dimension. The Orange blossom is not indolic. Bravo, Profumum Roma!

Perfect orange blossom opening with a creamy and spicy nature. I sense balsamic hints. Acquired taste for men, which dries quite sweet.
