Double black, half as wild
Ui - it's really as black as a panther in a coal cellar. I almost would have used a different comparison, but we want to remain politically correct here. At least it applies to the bottle, because the content of Polo Double Black is less gloomy than restrained fruity, sweetish, gourmand to spicy woody.
The top note is clean, with light, recognizable beginnings of mango compote, to which a manageable pinch of pepper has been sprinkled. This doesn't even go wrong, because a little later a few roasted coffee beans or because of me the aroma of a few drops of freshly brewed double espresso roll into the mixture.
So Polo Double Black trots for a while, before the end is rather woody with a clear reference to cardamom and a little bit of juniper. As a conclusion I would say that the little black one comes along quite steamed gourmandig, means: already appetising, but nothing that would really make your mouth water, but also nothing for sniffing.
Although it by no means comes close to the hearty spice of the green original Polo, it doesn't let the reins run as smoothly as the synthetically damaged Polo Red. So, indeed, everything is half as wild.
