Sun Bleached Une Nuit Nomade 2021 Eau de Parfum

A very interesting take on a clean laundry scent. On the one hand, Sun Bleached smells like walking into a laundry shop with a rotary iron. Especially in the opening smells like steamy, humid linens that were washed with a classic white musk and floral scented detergent. It's very realistic. But on the other hand, it's a warm and balsamic scent with vanilla and myrrh and a slightly spiced coumarin-ish note.

Both layers of the scent are nicely done and work well together. I haven't smelled a mix of warm and fresh like this together, I find it modern and innovative. A strong like for me and certainly recommended for anyone who looks for something clean, but different!

It smells like sunbathing skin, hot and sleek with sweet drops of sweat. The towel is damp with salty water, and you're passing the pages of a borrowed book.

Very bright, spricy-fresh opening. Hints of citrus, slight balsamic powderiness and soft nutty facets from the cardamom. A bit soapy in the best way, like steamed, damp laundry cooling down before being put away.

The creaminess from the white florals comes through beautifully and quite quickly, yet very subtly and close to the skin.

Straightforward base notes, all equally present. Woody, balsamic, and creamy in a cool, light and smoky way. Maybe nothing groundbreaking in that, but a very good by-the-water scent without suntan lotion astringencies nor unnecessary fruity notes. It is both cool and warm, which makes it special in its own, paradoxical way.

Pretty good performance too.

The dazzling sun drowns the white and ochre city with its brightness. Omanis enjoy the sea breeze as they stroll along the corniche in their dishdashas-long white cotton tunics. Sun Bleached pays a fresh and pure tribute the the White City with a clean linen accord brighten by ambrette and bergamot. Creamy white flowers round off sparkling top notes, the musky and woody drydown is slightly salty. Love wearing it all year round, so clean and uplifting !

Sun Bleached is one of those fragrances that immediately makes you feel something. The opening transports you straight to a beach holiday - light, airy, clean linen drying on a line in the sun after a day at the sea. There's nothing to pick apart or analyse, it just smells like a beautiful moment captured in a bottle.
As it settles it becomes slightly more structured and laundry-like with a crisp soapy quality that actually works rather than bothers. It stays incredibly close to the skin throughout which feels intentional - this is a fragrance for you, not for the room.
The problem for me is that I already own Love-O-Matic, which does this same clean musky skin-scent territory but with more depth, more personality and more of me in it.

Despite it being quite average, it's difficult to complain about this perfume: it is, in fact, exactly what it promises to be.
Clean laundry, hanging under the sun, in a breezy but warm countryside - you catch its smell while drinking lemonade on the porch.
If it wasn't clear already, I'm brutally unimpressed by clean scents, so this is as unbiased as I can be.
Wouldn't wear it (again), but it's definitely a good choice if the scenario described above appeals to you, for it successfully evokes this aesthetic.
