Fruity mocktail made with sweet mango and creamy coconut, adorned by fresh florals

A divine mocktail. I could picture very clearly a glass of deep vibrant yellow mango juice mixed with coconut water and adorned with one of those kitsch cocktail umbrella. This perfume spoke of spring and summer, of warm weather to come, of sun tans and sunscreen, of playful fun and flirty winks. It smelled like sweet fruity mangoes, ripe and juicy, but also of creamy, fruity coconut with a tangy citrus. I was adamant a full bottle was going to be added to my collection.

And then the mango's fleeting scent left the perfume and I was left with a generic creamy floral fragrance. Generic might be a little bit too harsh since it's still a lovely fragrance, but it was no longer what I had smelled at the beginning. Florals are fresh and creamy while benzoin gives of a thick lotion scent. There's warmth yes, but a weird accord started to rise, making me think of those icky synthetic notes. Coconut lingers longer with its creaminess and fruitiness, but it wasn't enough to save the perfume. Overall, it weirdly started to smell like carrots (?!) on my skin.

That's when I realized I had to let go of this one. It could've been great, my 2024 summer fragrance, but the middle and base notes were a let down. I'll have to search somewhere else for that creamy, fruity fragrance as this one is unfortunately not it.

A tropical scent... again

Nothing exceptional.

Tiger Lily smells like jasmine, mango and is quite creamy (although I don't perceive the coconut milk at all). Very sweet and yet it contains a bitter/sour note that bothers me.

In short, really not great. It is in line with the tropical perfumes of the moment, so I think it will appeal to most people but it doesn't appeal to me.

Flowerbomb on the Beach

I got this in a Sephora sampler kit and was really looking forward to it based on how much I loved the original Flowerbomb Eau de Parfum and while it isn't my favorite flanker I'm definitely a fan! You can distinctly smell the OG Flowerbomb DNA in this but there's a healthy dose of creamy coconut too, which can be iffy for me, but I really like it in this. This is such a fun, beachy take on the original Flowerbomb and based on that and the value of the kit it's pretty likely that I'll redeem the voucher in the kit for this.

It’s a Mess…

This would be easy for the warmer months, however it’s a mishmash of everything on my skin. There’s a coconut background similar to what you’d find in a body mist, but not much else is distinguishable. The perfume has little dimension which comes off as messy. The original Flowerbomb, even the Nectar version are so iconic and contributed something to perfumery, but the flankers have been hugely disappointing. Also this perfume doesn’t hint at the original Flowerbomb at all it might as well have stood alone.

Won’t buy. Not at the price. I don’t expect all perfumes to be complex etc but they must at least have a backbone. This doesn’t and is hugely disappointing

Tropical floral with a touch of warmth

Flowerbomb will always have a place in my heart. It wasn't my first perfume, I'm several years to old for that, but one of the first that really pushed me into perfume as a hobby/special interest. The flankers have been a mixed bag, some good, some boring, some close to the original and some completely unrelated.
Tiger Lily is one of the latter. I don't get any Flowerbomb DNA at all, if it was a flanker to any other mainstream designer scent it would make just as much (or little) sense.

To my nose, this is a sweet, vanillic floral with buttery and honeyed facets. I can't really put my finger on the specific flowers, but they're of the creamy, white variety, and come across quite summery to me. A touch of mango on top makes the whole scent feel tropical.
The coconut is noticeable, too, especially when you know it's supposed to be there, but I get even more of the benzoin. I love this note and often find it buttery or caramel-esque, and I really think it improves this fragrance a lot. I see that this has some votes as similar to Paco Rabanne Fame, and I don't disagree, but where Fame has an overly clean fabric softener kind of musk, Flowerbomb Tiger Lily has this lovely warm benzoin.

I like this, but I also find it a little generic. I prefer Flowerbomb flankers that have more similarities to the original. I gave this a 7.5 because I gave Fame a 7 and like this one better, but it's a generous 7.5.
