Flowerbomb Dew Viktor & Rolf 2020

This fragrance is a flanker of the original Flowerbomb. This fragrance is just "less" in every way when compared to the original fragrance. Like the original its a powdery vanilla floral. That is where the similarities end. The original is fun, flirty, and almost a gourmand. This has less vanilla and is a little more heavier. The iris giving a creamy indolic feeling that gives a humid feeling that also weighs the fragrance down a little bit. I would also argue that this scent is weaker compared to the original because there is less vanilla fix it. Its a nice fragrance and well made but the line really could have gone without this iteration.

This fragrance has some lift with the vanilla but it disappears quicker than the original. For the most part, the fragrance is a skin scent. Its also a shorter lived fragrance compared to the original. This fragrance barely made it 3 hours. There are several sizes available starting at 10ml for $38, 30ml for $96, 50ml for $142, and 100ml for $180. I would recommend you just go get the original.

Very Very pretty. I had this as a sample and immediately wanted a full bottle. I think that this is perfect for spring and summer, and for work environmenst because it is not overpowering. It has the prettiest drydown. Super soft, powdery and musky. A beauty and a nice change from what I normally lean towards.

I’m not a huge fan of this perfume. It has the weight of the original, but nothing to make it lighter and more flirty which is what i was expecting.

I think I’m sensing more of the wood & iris pretty strongly. Then the worst part of the rose for me.

It’s a bit cloying. I prefer the other flanker that has a fruitier, sweeter profile — Flowerbomb Ruby Orchid.

A very gentle, reserved, shy, powdery, subtly floral new friend. I consciously say friend - because we girls will love him. He starts like the sun awakening in May over the just awakened, opening flower buds. These roses peek out very cautiously, an adult sweetness (no sticky young girl sweetness) that comes from the first warm rays of the young day flows towards me. Fine, delicious, a tiny hint of fruit? But only very subtly, the musk has been dusted over everything, wonderful. I wouldn't have thought that I would like this scent so much right away; it winds its way into my scent heart. It certainly fits into the direction of the currently popular fragrance structures - but it is very beautiful and appealing, a little different... I give it a longevity of 7-8 hours, although it becomes very close to the skin. Not too much, but a very pleasant and beautiful perfuming, just pleasantly noticeable. This now scented skin smells like a luxurious body cream or an expensive body powder, absolutely successful. Girls, let this new friend come close to you, you have to get to know him!

I received samples of the original Flowerbomb and Flowerbomb Dew yesterday.
This morning was the test.
First, I sprayed both on a paper towel. They smelled quite similar, but the Dew is a bit lighter.
I decided to test the Dew first.
At first, it has a somewhat fruity scent. I can't quite put my finger on it, but it strongly reminds me of the good old Jennifer Lopez Live from 2005. (Even though there are supposed to be no fruits, I somehow smell a fruit cocktail.) However, I can't really imagine what the dew drops are supposed to smell like.
After a relatively short time, at most half an hour, the powdery iris scent came through and stayed. Now I've been wearing it for about 4 hours, and the only thing that remains is the iris, supported by a hint of musk. It smells warm, soft, actually just my taste.
But somehow I'm missing something. It's a scent like 500 others. Even for my taste, it's extremely delicate. I would probably wear it more in winter, but in my opinion, there are other similarly structured scents that have that certain something.
As I said, I actually love scents of this kind. You can't go wrong with them. It fits in the office, it's not overpowering.
But somehow it's just one of the usual faceless scents of the past years.
I probably won't keep it and will give the sample to my sister.
And I'll try the Flowerbomb tomorrow.
