Good, easy, basic scent for everyday wear, nothing special in it

Verde Accento is a little bit boring, linear yet versatile scent where citruses are balanced with a subtle fruity sweetness from Mandarin Orange and a floral sophistication. The scent has a pleasant freshness in it but it's not sharp freshness but gentle and chic. The scent is unisex and it anyway maintains a subdued fruity character from the opening until the dry down but it's not that clear and dense like in Accento a sample of which I unfortunately no longer have. There are dozens of scents which are comparable to Verde Accento, this category is not my favourite since the most of the scents are unmemorable like this although there is nothing wrong with them. This scent isn't that green to my nose, and there's nothing in the note list that clearly suggests greenery but it has a clean, gently shampoo kind of vibe. The base is beautiful and the whole concoction is well blended like in all "Accentos" and there is nothing distracting about it. The clean musk is skillfully made without an off-putting aroma, which is evident in Erba Pura and Cruz del Sur II , among others. Of course, the fruity notes in them are harsh and I can't stand them, so the combination with the lousy musk is disastrous. The longevity and projection are average, the scent is great in all climates and it's great choice for office work. About the bottle: I'm so sad that they changed those pretty bottles covered with velvet into terrible basic ones.

I've had this sample for ages and was waiting to see if it would stir up any emotions in me, but no, it doesn't, so I decided to write a condensed review.

Harrods Exclusive: Verde Accento

This fall I was in London for 1 week, and of course had to go to the Royal Shopping Mall, Harrods. As many of you know, there are some Harrods Exclusive fragrances, including the Verde Accento.

There is nothing negative to say about the fragrance. In the opening, the fragrance starts a little sour on my skin. After the dry-down, however, the magic comes out.
The fragrance is floral & green, a perfect everyday or starting fragrance. The scent is calm and not overpowering at all, I really like it. The scent is not as green as many would think. The green notes are not too strong and form a pleasant fragrance radiance.

It has to be said that you have to pay the Harrods Exclusive price to get this top fragrance.

The greener Accento

The Verde Accento is part of the "V" collection and store exclusive for the Harrods department store in London.

Fortunately, you can buy the fragrance in Xerjoff boutiques, just not everyone.

To be able to purchase this fragrance, you must already be a regular customer to be eligible to buy it.

That may sound silly, but it brings exclusivity. The price for this is €310, at least in Frankfurt.

The exclusivity described above - coupled with the incredibly great fragrance and bottle design - convinced me to buy one.

Now to the fragrance. It is a blend of the Accento, only blended, the Purple Accento and Accento Overdose.

The spiciness, accompanied by fruitiness, green notes with woody-floral tones makes an excellent spring-summer-autumn fragrance.

For me personally, the pineapple, citrus notes, soft jasmine and light peppery notes stand out the most.

The fragrance catapults me back to vacation every time I wear it. A great feeling that you don't want to let go of.

The fragrance is a dream, the longevity is great, the sillage is impressive. Even in the evening you can still smell the fragrance.

The exclusivity makes it difficult to test the fragrance anywhere else, except in the boutiques and in Harrods itself.

Anyone who has the opportunity to test the fragrance should definitely do so. The small number of pieces produced naturally makes it attractive for collectors to acquire this fragrance.

Definitely my favorite Accento from the series.

In a forest of fragrance so green, Verde Accento, a dream, a king.

Verde Accento, noble and fine,
A fragrance, exclusive and all on its own.
Flowery-green, like a walk in the woods,
The pineapple kiss stays with me in the hallway.
Resinous-woody, a hint of luxury fragrance,
Verde Accento, an experience in the air.

But Verde Accento, why are you so hard to come by, so that others can hold you in their hands?

My bottle found its way to Greece this summer to the island of Mykonos in the new Xerjoff boutique - which opened this summer 2023. Although the fragrance is exclusively available at Harrods in London, I was able to find my happiness in the newly opened store on Mykonos. All of Xerjoff's exclusive fragrances were offered there in strictly limited quantities, and I was lucky enough to secure the penultimate Verde Accento. The hefty price of €320.00 for 100ml may seem daunting at first, but it's definitely worth the money for the exclusivity, the memory of my vacation back then and, above all, for the wonderful fragrance. :-D

But now to the fragrance itself. For me, Verde is a successful blend of the normal Accento and the Accento Overdose. It starts off floral and green, with hints of herbs, moss and a light forest note in the background:
Imagine you are picnicking in a field of flowers next to a forest and unfolding your fruit basket. Iris and jasmine dominate at first, then you bring out the pineapple, the green apple and finally you make yourself a gin sour cocktail with lemons. The fresh, floral air is accompanied by the subtle resinousness and woody notes of the surrounding forest. In the drydown, the fragrance is reminiscent of the normal Accento, but remains surrounded by a woody aura. The presence of pineapple remains noticeable throughout the fragrance.
Objectively speaking, Verde Accento is a fragrance for every occasion, every season and every gender.
For me personally, however, this is the more masculine and less playful version of the normal Accento, which is more suitable for spring to fall, but please dear readers, don't get me wrong - the fragrance definitely remains unisex at its core. :-P

The longevity and sillage are impressive: a clear 10/10 from me; the fragrance was sometimes difficult to get off my clothes. The projection is strong, you get noticed, but it's not beastmode. The perception is pleasant and actually less penetrating than with the normal Accento, at least that was the feedback from some of the people I asked about it.

Finally, on the point of 'dear price': if you have a preference for luxury and niche fragrances, it seems difficult to me to see this as a negative thing. I mean, 99% of us are all nerds here on the forum when it comes to fragrances and really no one is forcing us to spend that amount of XXY. "Hehe, he said XXY xD" Nah but joking aside... Is it worth the price? I say if you want to spend it, test it and buy it if you want it & CAN. But I recommend everyone to try it at least once. The exclusivity and rarity may even justify the price for a collector. To be honest, I was also lulled into it by the lady at Xerjoff. ^^
And now, lo and behold, Verde Accento is one of the most beautiful fragrances in Xerjoff's 'V' collection for me personally.
