Synthetic toilet cleaner
I was so excited after seeing the fragrance pyramid. I love lavender ... the real thing, from my garden. And there I have 4 different varieties including the white lavender. So I was very excited about our test today from a newspaper gift to my sweetheart & me.

First, Libre L'Absolu Platine seems unisex:

He starts at me lavendelig citrus. At Walter much nicer with more intense bergamot / tangerine recognizable notes. And then we wait ... well. And then comes in minutes the evil transformation - he could then also be a room fragrance.

After 5 minutes, it develops on me strangely soapy / synthetic with a nasty note that I can not describe. After 10 minutes, still no real orange blossom has appeared - it gets maybe a little sweeter. And it's not really lavender either. 20 minutes ...

From here I have to say " 'Scuse me, but on me this smells ...öhm.. bäh." You know when you have the urge to wash off a perfume? As curious as I am to see if anything comes off, I can't smell it on me - we both agree. He had to off. Immediately.

That I really too bad when I smell so verpatzte perfumes. Because there is also time in it ... what a waste.

New darling
I am glad to have bought the fragrance before I saw the comments and ratings here. The negative Bewetungen would have otherwise kept me from testing the fragrance.

I find him absolutely fine, not too aufringlich, slightly fresh and in the course delicate and with pleasantly fine, creamy sweetness.

Comes to my TOPs

Clear thing
Am a fan!!! Definitely not the sister of the Libre line, more like the third cousin.
What I particularly like about the fragrance: it glows really well, but not too much. It lasts a long time. Even though I love spicy, sweeter fragrances as they are popping up everywhere, it's not, brings variety (signature potential).
In short - for me the perfect office scent/everyday fragrance, not a classically pleasing scent, beautifully different, present and yet not intrusive.

A varied journey begins when you spray it on. Starts fresh, cool, slightly tart, slightly metallic, activates and awakens (clear lavender). Opening definitely has a unisex character, reminiscent of fresh, soft men's perfumes. The softness and warmth, including the Libre DNA, then come through more and more, including a delicate sweetness. A soft, fresh, yet self-confident fragrance.

To be honest, I can't really understand the criticism. A comparison with its predecessors? Like apples and pears. What they have in common: clear Libre DNA including lavender/orange blossom. Otherwise a fragrance in its own right. Possibly also simply a marketing mistake, because with a le parfum/intense expectation you will "naturally" be disappointed.

Libre life...or something like that
Yes, the headline is a silly pun (haha) but this new flanker from YSL Libre is absolutely no joke, in fact it's the best Libre ever for me. I'm known for my opulent sweet and gourmand scents but the original Libre Eau de Parfum was never mine, something always bothered me about it.
I was totally drawn to the beautiful bottle of Libre L'Absolu Platine, it looks like it has molten silver, or platinum, inside, and the 3D print of the logo around it is also very impressive, absolutely precious.
And the fragrance itself, simply a dream, still sweet, still intense but spicy and naturally sweet thanks to the lavender in all layers, the bergamot and mandarin in the top note are always slightly there for me even in the drydown and give the fragrance a cheerful effervescence that simply puts you in a good mood. Finally a fragrance that I can smell on myself, but not in such a way that it annoys me or restricts me when eating, for example
I can't understand the poor overall rating at all, yes, the price is a bit steep in normal shops, but if you look on the usual sites for better prices, you can get this little treasure at a very reasonable price in my opinion.
A flanker that has its justification and will hopefully be around for a long time, I'm curious to see how it develops when the temperatures get a little friendlier again, but I could very well imagine that Libre L'Absolu Platine is also a pleasant fragrance companion in spring and early summer.

Yves Saint Laurent Libre L'absolu platine
Libre, Yves Saint Laurent's cash cow. I'm not against flankers per se. There may be gems in between. But in my eyes, Yves Saint Laurent is the king of the boring and uninteresting flankers. This fragrance is little different from the original edp. However, it is closer to the skin and lacks the sparkle of the edp. Lifespan; less than the edp. And then looking at the price of this perfume. It costs €230 here in the Netherlands. For this amount, or less, you have so many better (niche) scents. For me, Yves Saint Laurent has now definitively disqualified itself from the perfume market.
