Papua oud, in stratospheric quantities
A truly extraordinary composition, to say the least. Probably one of Ensar's most underrated. This version features Oud Moka Merauke. It's truly, truly, truly amazing. It performs incredibly well, practically endlessly. Projection isn't its strong point, but it heats up for 12 hours straight, and perhaps even longer. The presence of castoreum, incense, and Indonesian oud is clearly noticeable. Myrrh, Mysore, and pepper complement it. The main protagonist is Papua oud, in stratospheric quantities, with Tibetan musk counterbalancing its smokiness. A masterpiece.

Smoky Maroke aged oud what a delight.
All immediately accompanied by roasted coffee, flowers, pepper, floral notes and Musk. Animalic but not pissy Tibetan Musk.
The floral part cleanses the fragrance and gives it a silky scent.
After it settles on the skin the Maroke and coffee take over the fragrance and pamper you for the entire duration.
I was pleasantly impressed by this version.

The pretty nice coffee and oud save this from just smelling like carrot cake like the basic version, but still one of the weaker EOs IMO

In the opening, you can clearly smell the moka merauke, and the drydown leans towards the original with the oud in the background. I prefer the OG.
