Opening: Moderate. Bright sweet and fruity. Candied cherry right upfront with a subtle boozy note mixed with gentle florals. It's not very spiced and hardly noticed the black pepper.

As this dries down the cherry and Lily of the Valley are the most prominent. The cherry in here is more candied vs medicinal but mixed with the florals, I think it could come off as medicinal. There's also a hint of an earthy note, but it's more of an accent that sits at the very bottom; giving some umph and contrasting the sweetness.

Overall this smells like a sweet watered down boozy aroma. Heavy handed on the candied cherries, accented with soft florals with a touch of oakmoss and a dash of pepper. I can see some people liking this if they wanted to start getting into boozy notes in fragrances, but don't want those notes to be too heavy. It's okay.

After my rather disappointing experience with the new Love in Paris from the Cities Collection, I honestly had no great expectations. Therefore, this first impression was all the more pleasant: The cherry comes through directly, but not artificial or syrupy. Together with the nutmeg, it creates something spicy, slightly dark, which immediately gives the opening more character.

Over time, the scent becomes rounder and calmer. For me, there is less of a clearly recognizable heart in the foreground than this flowing transition - the fruity warmth lingers a bit before the scent slowly moves in a drier direction. In the drydown, patchouli and the woody notes take over more and more, giving the whole thing an earthy and more mature quality.

I wouldn't have thought that this particular representative of the line would appeal to me after Love in Paris. It is not a summer scent in the classic sense - it lacks the lightness for that - but on summer evenings, I can surprisingly well imagine it due to the cherry note. Overall, it is significantly more interesting and harmonious than expected.
